rghrbek Verified Member Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Just wanna see playoff baseball at this time of the year. Which means we are in it right? Again beating a dead horse but Molly has the arms in the bullpen, why let deunsing pitch to right handed batters? not playoff baseball....ugh
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 You are cool with them losing this series against 3 guys with near 5.00 eras? Two of them lefties? Toast. No, not in the least, it's a huge disappointment, but it's a bit melodramatic to completely write them off, that's all.
David HK Verified Member Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Duensing is now a bed time story. A really, really scary one. Kids would never fall asleep.
rghrbek Verified Member Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 The Twins had everything to gain and the Tigers had nothing to lose, yet the Twins pissed away opportunity after opportunity. Very disappointing loss. But hey, big series with the Halos coming up, still only a game and a half back of the 'Stros, who currently look to be in a death spiral. Not over by a long shot.agree with you here though, not the end of the world..as of yet
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 A really, really scary one. Kids would never fall asleep.Kids? Duensing has haunted my dreams for about 5 years now. I'd like it to stop.

rghrbek Verified Member Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 With this FO???? It's like the berlin wall coming down...
Jham Verified Member Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 agree with you here though, not the end of the world..as of yet Not the end. We're probably playing as well as the Astros. But the Indians are playing much better than both of us, and we have them 7 times. I really don't like our chances of holding off the tribe this year, let alone catching the 'Stros. We've been remarkably resilient after tough losses. We're certainly not getting blown out. So maybe we're playing better than I think and the wins will keep coming, but tonight was a tough tough loss. I'm not even sure I can pick 1 player to blame, there were so many.

Believe it or not, Astros fans are fully convinced their team will NOT be in the postseason this year. That leaves.... us or the Angels??? Or maybe the Houston front office has declared this season a Success!TM and have packed it in and are playing for next year.
rghrbek Verified Member Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 this thread is not going 30 pages, so my fireball induced coma is saved for another molly questionable managed game. Good night boys, we live to fight another day!!!
mickeymental Verified Member Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 kinsler is listed as 2-for-11 career versus duensing, so apparently 1-for-10 before tonight. still, for some reason i cringe whenever kinsler steps to the plate no matter who's pitching.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 Heavens no. But there is a strict rule around here...one MUST stop drinking between pages 15 and 16.Limitation... How???http://uploads.neatorama.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/capone.jpg
AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted September 17, 2015 Posted September 17, 2015 I apologize for mentally jinxing this game. When JD Martinez came to bat in the 8th, I thought "wow, if they get him here, the Twins will have managed to keep him in the yard this series." Should have known that would not end well. I didn't realize I had such powers. I will try to channel then more appropriately going forward. Three thoughts about the game:1)Mauer should have been up there swinging for a hit with two on, none out in the 10th. 3-0 and 3-1--swing!2)Sano got a lot of extra strikes in the 9th.3)That was one helluva dramatic game. Onward. Five series left. Win 2 or 3 against the Angels and keep it going. Snaring that last wildcard spot is very manageable.
