Agreed.    I like his skill sets, but the lack of plate discipline will hurt him in the long run.   We have two players on our team with an on base % above .320 (min 70 plate appearances).   If Rosario is going to bat .270, you would like him to be close to .320 in on base%.   Without great power, it renders him potentially average to below average maybe?

Yeah, but Keuchel was drafted in the 7th round, so there are a lot of teams that could have had him.

 

And Trout was the 25th pick... The Angels had the 24th pick as well and they used that on Randal Grichuk... so, even the Angels technically missed on Trout with their first pick that year.
