USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 I'm glad you finally saw the light on the fact the bullpen is plenty rested. Now the quality of those rested options...If the reason O'Rourke and Graham were in the game turning a 4-1 lead into an 8-4 deficit in the space of 4 outs was because the bullpen was plenty rested, then I'm assuming you are calling for Molitor to be fired before the post game reports are filed in the Strib and Pioneer Press, amiright?
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 There isn't anyone to pinch hit for Suzuki?Meh, why bother, that's been the motto for August.
Jham Verified Member Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 So when do the Red Sox announce Doug Mientkiewicz as their next manager?

Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 I've been to Luckenbach Texas. Was driving the Texas Hill Country when I saw a sign saying Luckenbach just a few miles that way. Couldn't pass it up so we turned and drove the few extra miles and I'm glad I did. It's literally two buildings... A Dance Hall and a Souvenir shop. A Bunch of Picnic tables and people (tourists) sitting at them watching some average singer just strumming on his acoustic and singing away... and... and... Chickens... Just running around loose for no reason at all. I loved it. I found it completely charming. Sounds nice, but I bet it would've been better with Waylon, Willie and the Boys.

DiscGolfer Verified Member Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Well, it took to over half way through August for the season to be done this year.

twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 I hate baseball, only 35 days until hockey starts.
Jham Verified Member Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 When I look back at this game, I'll probably combine the images of A-Rod's home run and Graham's tears into one sad but satisfyingly entertaining memory.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 I'm lost for words... That'll be the day.
Jerr Verified Member Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Today's game makes me want to listen to The Carpenters."Rainy days and Twins/Yankee games always get me down" ???

Just as you described, the whole tour took less time than a Twins lead lasts against NY.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted August 19, 2015 Posted August 19, 2015 Sounds nice, but I bet it would've been better with Waylon, Willie and the Boys. That would have been unreal... Surprised it didn't happen because that trip was amazing to begin with. Not only did we stumble upon Luckenbach... On the way to Texas... We stopped to eat in Kansas City... Just picked a restaurant because it was on Triple D. We saw all these people coming and going out the back door. Some with Credentials hanging around their neck. So I decided to look what was out back. It was a big open area with a Stage and there was Ben Harper doing a sound check for a concert later that night. We got to eat some sandwiches while watching Ben Harper play a couple of tunes. Ben Harper... Maybe 10 roadies and my family eating a long way from North Dakota.
