Mauer has been taking some really really great at bats lately, looking like vintage Mauer.

What a perfect day ... slept in, puttered, headed to the 31st marina and spent the latter part of the afternoon and evening on a friend's boat, got boarded by the Coast Guard, and home for the 9th inning ... awesome!

I feel a little bad for Scott Kasmir. 8.1 innings of shutout ball, then he sits down and watches the bull pen blow the lead.

 

Okay, now I stopped feeling bad.

If Robinson was pinch running for Torii on Mauer's double, would he have scored? Mauer could have advanced to third....

highly unlikely Mauer ends up at third on that play in that scenario.
