I actually thought Joe would get a hit there. His RISP numbers are tanking lately, so I thought he'd get what I like to call a "Sid Breamer", a worthless two out single or a home run when you're leading by 10 or losing by 10.

In the first inning I thought he might have a hit, he didn't exactly get robbed, but the play Bourjos made to get to the ball was a good one.

While we're talking about The Hunger Games, I've often wondered what it would be like if they modernized baseball stadiums and started raising the players up into their respective positions the same way the tributes were raised into the arena. Who would be the first to start?

It's the middle of the night here, and just trying to lull back to sleep with the usual illegal sports feed.  Cards broadcast-  The Cardinals have had some legendary announcers over the years, but the two clowns they have in the booth at present really, really suck.  Not like Hawkster-suck, but really pedestrain kind of suckage.

If you fall behind a LH hitter with power, two out and nobody on, late in a scoreless game, with a RH hitter on deck, one thing you don't want to do is throw a pitch that can be pulled for a HR. A walk ain't the end of the world.
