I think it's a run saved over just not having a player crouched behind home plate at all.

 

Just Kidding! I like Suzuki just fine, though I wish there was a prospect a bit closer or that Pinto had made bigger strides this year and forced the Twins to call him up.

That is the second time in the past two games Mauer didn't even attempt, or look for, a double play when given the opportunity. This time it costs the team two runs. I hope the coaching staff is giving him an earful, that is not acceptable.

Yesterday it was Suzuki's call to go to second. Not sure how he directed that at. Today was all Mauer. He has to be thinking dp all at bat and aggressively go after one. He needs to have the fire to win and make a play.
