Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Let's play charades. I'll go first. Movie? btw, Hicks is now outhitting Suzuki. They actually thought signing him to a 2 year deal was a good idea.....
Hrbowski Verified Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Terry Ryan said that Kohl Stewart has been throwing 95, but is going to need to improve his strikeout ability.
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Suzuki is now the 30th "best" hitting catcher this year (100 plus ABs).......when will Herrmann or Fryer or anyone else get a shot? How bad does it have to get? Zuke's shown he can hit, so let's hope he battles his way out of this slump. He's got loads of value behind the plate -- he's worth a run saved a game by his pitch selection and field-managing the staff to keep us in more games.
gocgo Verified Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 I don't think it will be a long rain delay, but I don't see them getting this game completely in. Get up early, stay up.

Nobody can prove otherwise. But seriously, swapping Zuke and Herrmann's roles seems like it's worth a shot.

I'm reading that as a sincere comment.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Anyone got anything to do while we're waiting? I went and mowed my lawn.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 16, 2015 Author Posted June 16, 2015 I went and mowed my lawn. I need to do that too. Did a thing or two otherwise also needing done... Rain delay end surprised me, but i'm back. Started stuff what needs some attention, so it'll be divided.

70charger Verified Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 This is the first time I'll have actually seen Buxton play hit since he was in Cedar Rapids. Looking forward to it.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 16, 2015 Author Posted June 16, 2015 Pretty good throw by Robinson, but far enough off that Suzuki couldn't apply the tag in time... Oh well. There are worse things than a tie game at 1-1 after 2 (CBU)

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 16, 2015 Author Posted June 16, 2015 why would u need to mow Gibby's lawn too? Gibby already did it. Oh... Um. I thought Gibby had mowed my lawn... That's what he said.
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Is my sarcasm detector on the fritz? I'm reading that as a sincere comment. Everything I say is a lie. Including that sentence. ADDED: Yes, I've always liked Zuke, even before he was a Twin. And I sincerely believe my own BS.

Kirby_waved_at_me Verified Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Not sure if serious........ I think it's a run saved over just not having a player crouched behind home plate at all. Just Kidding! I like Suzuki just fine, though I wish there was a prospect a bit closer or that Pinto had made bigger strides this year and forced the Twins to call him up.
Captain Hindsight Provisional Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 That is the second time in the past two games Mauer didn't even attempt, or look for, a double play when given the opportunity. This time it costs the team two runs. I hope the coaching staff is giving him an earful, that is not acceptable.
USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 I would pull Mauer right now.seriously...what is up with him? It's bad enough he's hitting like a pitcher, but he keeps making really poor decisions on defense.
Blake Verified Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Okay, that's it, sit Mauer. If Bert is criticizing Mauer, then Mauer needs to sit for a few days. Something is obviously wrong with Mauer, because it really looks like his head is not in the game.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 16, 2015 Author Posted June 16, 2015 I would pull Mauer right now. Maybe he'll do something to make up for it?
jorgenswest Verified Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Yesterday it was Suzuki's call to go to second. Not sure how he directed that at. Today was all Mauer. He has to be thinking dp all at bat and aggressively go after one. He needs to have the fire to win and make a play.
70charger Verified Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 That was a pretty bad wave at that breaking pitch by Buxton.

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted June 16, 2015 Author Posted June 16, 2015 Hey look, it's Dozier leading off again. Who gets to drive him in this time? Is there a designated driver?
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 So much for the strategy of batting Buxton 9th, so Dozier has someone to drive in........
Hrbowski Verified Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 For a minute I thought Joe was going to be ejected.
Mike Sixel Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 So Mauer just stands in the box and doesn't swing now? I mean, I am only going off gamecast, since I am working......
