AlwaysinModeration Verified Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 That was a great game. Only time I'll be in MInnesota this summer, and nice Twins win. May was quite good; too bad he gave up the Beckham homer, would have been a nice start giving up only one. It also didn't hurt that I caught a foul ball. It came straight back and I snared it...the woman behind me seemed appreciative that I saved her life/her from spilling her beer.
TwinsCD Verified Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 At the beginning of the season, I made a comment that I couldn't figure out why Boyer was on the ML roster. Boy, was I wrong. He brings an element out of the pen that we haven't seen in a while. A couple people mentioned it a few pages back but this is a true team -- never know who's gonna get it done on a game-by-game basis, and that is really beneficial in so many ways. The pitching and the clutch hitting in the first 6 weeks of the season has been a very welcome sight. Nice to have a team that actually does the things to win games like other teams do too.
diehardtwinsfan Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 3 game thread openers so far this year ... 3 wins!!! Go Twins! Sign up for a few more please. We can bump people if needed.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Hmmm, after this series ends and an off day Monday, the Twins go to Pittsburgh for a two game series. Projected Pirate starters: Francisco Liriano and Vance Worley. Just so you can plan ahead to watch.

But that's still a worthwhile save.
SwainZag Community Moderator Posted May 17, 2015 Posted May 17, 2015 I guess were planning on them hitting every pitch we throw. It's a new shift. Put your catcher at 2nd. With no one on base, then really why not? I can't fathom the umpire would be thrilled with no one there to catch balls, but Suzuki playing a little rover out there, I could get on board.
