Platoon Verified Member Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Are we talking day and month, or day, month and year? (I'm guessing the latter) Legally changing the birth year would also impact the legal drinking age. Sounds like a concept. that's not a new concept, I changed my birthday on my DL in high school! It used to be easier! Blake and formerly33 2

Platoon Verified Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 I do have a question/comment about baseball! (I wanted to get the silly baseball talk out of the way early) Did anyone ever think when Suzuki was signed, he would end up as the #5 hitter for the Twins? I know they score a lot of runs, but there just seems something odd about seeing him in that spot in the order!
Blake Verified Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 that's not a new concept, I changed my birthday on my DL in high school! It used to be easier!Meanwhile, the legal drinking age in MN when I first moved there was 19. Changed to 21 during my tenure, though. Yeah, I'm that old.
Platoon Verified Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 So what's on the level here, the water or the house? Even in ND water is level! Hell, all of ND is level! formerly33 1

(I'm guessing the latter) Legally changing the birth year would also impact the legal drinking age. Sounds like a concept.Well, everyone thinks that I'm 21 anyway, so I could pull that one off without a problem. I think I probably look more mature because of my studied negligence of a silly schoolgirl giggle. And yes, legally changing the birth year could impact the legal drinking age...but did it ever occur to you that maybe I would want to make myself younger so I could go back and practice my instruments those years I skipped out, devote more time to Spanish, and just be overall more intelligent when it came time to graduate? That's a lot more important to me than the ability to buy alcoholic beverages. And my mom can count her blessings that while I may be a brat, I do not intend to drink when I come of age.
Craig Arko Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 The Gershwin isn't part of the live performance is it? Man, that guy could bring the heat.
Winston Smith Verified Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Twins are 5-10 against teams over .500 and 14-6 against those below .500. I'm not sure that means much this early in the year. That's enough baseball talk for tonight.
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Hunter and Mauer mentorin' on the base paths...
sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 Some nice base running. I meant to say that... (For those of you not a-watchin', Hunter puts a single to shallow right center, and Mauer pokes one through the right side of the infield. Hunter goes to 3rd drawing a direct throw to third which is off. Mauer follows to second and beats the throw from the 3rd baseman) CBU! Craig Arko 1

sampleSizeOfOne Verified Member Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 ... 5. Big Screen Televisions -- I'm shopping for a new television and I'd like to get a monster TV for my in-home entertainment. It turns out that my wife is not shopping for a new television she is talking about moving my chair closer. A compromise: If you've ever seen the movie Brazil, they got these tiny tv screens which they put enormous magnifying lenses over. Makes for wonderful visuals...
