Glad to see Nolasco serious about that great rebound year this year!

My God, what a bad outing.  I managed to catch the first two innings but had to go back to work.  He's the real problem.  With all that money, I don't think they'll drop him from the rotation for a while.

Either Nolasco or who? Sorry, couldn't resist.

This, imo, is why you should spend money on Elite players, and not mediocre players......like, would you rather have one great pitcher and some AAA guy, or Nolasco and Santana (pre-roids)?

The Twins won't be contending this season or next season based on the current talent level of the roster. Nolasco along with many of the vets are really just a stop gap, so that the team isn't using minor league players to field a team. The best that we can hope for is that the players in the minors develop (Berrios, Stewart, Meyer, May) so that when Nolasco's contract runs, he wouldn't have made the rotation anyway!

Wow, it didn't take long into the season for this topic to come back!

So, the big question is

Jeff Gray > Ricky Nolasco ???

Everything > Ricky Nolasco :)

I wonder if more than 10% of posters know what this is about.

God bless Joe Mays.

Pathetic.

Is it accurate to say that there is not really anyone on the team who does anything well as far as playing good baseball goes? Seems like Vargas and Santana have the potential to do things well (maybe Arcia too?). I guess Hughes throws strikes well, Perkins can get some people out. Outside of that it seems like there is no one who is really good at playing baseball in any aspect. Is that correct? I mean good not average here.

The problem with these three loses is not the fact that they were losses. Losses happen. It's that there was not ONE redeeming thing from those three games. The offense has looked terrible. The pitching has looked terrible. The defense has looked terrible. And, frankly, the coaching decisions haven't been very good either (sitting Arcia against a Righty).

Not a single thing to hang our hats on.

Well.... there's IS one thing: http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?sid=milb&org=142&ymd=20150409

Speaking of avian flu.... A guy that should be on the Twins roster by mid-summer is about to take the mound to close out the AA opener.

Nick Burdi... come on down
