glunn Community Moderator Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 If the Twins lose tonight then they will have 80 losses for the season, with 21 games to go.
teekz Verified Member Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 The bright side? There will be no traffic when I leave Target Field. Everyone already left...
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 I thought that RB's setup was especially profound tonight. Thanks Glunn... I took my own advice and called Ben Revere and told him I thought he was special and look what happened!!!
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 New survey: What kind of ice cream would the Twins be? I'll go with rocky road.Hard to argue with that, and perfect Vulcan mind meld of game situation and thread tangent. But for what it's worth, and it's not much due to the obscurity level, B&J offer these other possibilities: Phish food, Hazed and Confused, Half Baked, and my favorite, What a Cluster. No, really. Ask Hocking, he'll corroborate.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 New survey: What kind of ice cream would the Twins be? I'll go with rocky road.Rocky Road is perfect. I was thinking Strawberry with bits of Tuna. Cuz there are some good parts but the bad parts overpower it.
glunn Community Moderator Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Thanks Glunn... I took my own advice and called Ben Revere and told him I thought he was special and look what happened!!!You and ChiTown are not adequately appreciated for setting up the game threads. If you keep this up, then eventually you should get bronze statues at TD headquarters.
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 If the Twins lose tonight then they will have 80 losses for the season, with 21 games to go.I think this means they can lose about 4 more games if I want my March prediction to work out. I will have to check their remaining schedule to see if this is likely. Hopefully they will have an easy last few weeks.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 The bright side? There will be no traffic when I leave Target Field. Everyone already left...There Ya Go... From the Dark end of the street to the Bright Side of the Road!!!

teekz Verified Member Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Can we please get a Twins pitcher in that will throw strikes?
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 If the Twins lose tonight then they will have 80 losses for the season, with 21 games to go.They've got some good pieces in place, but just aren't ready to win. I don't go for coach-speak platitudes usually, but it just feels that way in games like this and last night.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 I'm been thinking this... and I feel like it's been confirmed for me over the last couple weeks... but I've been thinking that the Twins should add a veteran bullpen pitcher to the staff. We need less of guys like Anthony Swarzak (who's a long reliever at best, in my opinion) and more of a more talented potential setup pitcher.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 I don't already? I'm beginning to wonder if that sculptor who came by was legit? If he asked you to put your clothes back on, then probably yes.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 I don't already? I'm beginning to wonder if that sculptor who came by was legit?Oooh. Yeah. Dude, not an art critic, but that whole thing with the attempted nude sculpture was a big red flag. Especially the coin flip about who was going to be nude.
Danchat Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 That was one heck of a catch by Schafer.
D. Hocking Verified Member Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 You and ChiTown are not adequately appreciated for setting up the game threads. glunn Community Moderator Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 I don't already? I'm beginning to wonder if that sculptor who came by was legit?I think that you may have posed naked for some guy who tricked you. That was a wasted day for you.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Oooh. Yeah. Dude, not an art critic, but that whole thing with the attempted nude sculpture was a big red flag. Especially the coin flip about who was going to be nude.Nah... Nothing like that... He asked me find a comfortable pose. I did... He said hold it and then he left. I stayed that way for about 8 hours.
glunn Community Moderator Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 At least we get the tying run the the plate. Sorta reminds me of last night.

USAFChief Twins Daily Contributor Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Nah... Nothing like that... He asked me find a comfortable pose. I did... He said hold it and then he left. I stayed that way for about 8 hours.I think you're supposed to call a doctor after 4 hours.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 Darn. Schafer bails them out, so no extra insurance runs for the Angels to make me dismiss Duensing's performance as meaningless. Relative to other moments in the game, as opposed to season outcome. Also, is it just me, or is it bad marketing strategy for a 90-loss team to use music in its in-game ads/lowlights that closely resembles 'Adagio for Strings', the heart-wrenching orchestral arrangement that accompanies the most dramatically depressing scenes of the movie 'Platoon'? This season is painful enough without music that evokes Willem Dafoe's dying reach to the sky for a rescue that will never come.

ashbury Verified Member Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 you stole this from LaVelle E. Neal III ...I thought you might say Rob Antony.
ashbury Verified Member Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 At least we get the tying run the the plate. Sorta reminds me of last night.Santana and Dozier show some life.

LaBombo Verified Member Posted September 6, 2014 Posted September 6, 2014 I think you're supposed to call a doctor after 4 hours.Or phone a very special friend, or else Guinness. World record people, not 'Beer Made from Hops and Brownies' people.
