Game Thread: White Sox@Twins 9/3 7:10PM

All stories are good stories. Stories are triumphs of the human experience and should celebrated.

Stories are what separate us from Water Buffalo.

Or Tommy Milone being the Twins starter in game 1 of the 2015 World Series (while dating Kathy Ireland - due to her being on the rebound from RB).

if that happened i'd eat a hogshead of hats.

[LaBombo]

Perhaps I can show you the way.

Light up a candle?

[John Kelsey]

Achter debut comin up!

Carnac: Water Buffalo

Ed: Yadda...

Carnac: ... yadda....

Ed: ...yadda.  Hey-yo!

Carnac: What must you do every day to grow a beautiful bed of Buffalo?

[ashbury]

11 runs in.  At this point you almost feel sorry for the Wh- .... no.  No.

Nope... Not one bit... I wouldn't feel sorry for the White Sox if they were chained to the wall and Lions were released.

Not real African Lions... I was thinking of Drew Stafford and that Suh guy.

[glunn]

A good game for the Twins and a good game thread.  Life goes on.

As log as hawk is"calling" games i will never feel sorry for the sox. Truly the worst broadcaster in sports.

[ashbury]

Achter's kind of fidgety between pitches.  Not Joe Nathan fidgety, but fidgety.

[Riverbrian]

never

Alright... It's random Adverb Night...

[Ultima Ratio]

I believe that Vargas has matched and bettered Colabello's record setting RBI count in one month of work, going back one month from tonight.

27 RBI  for Colabello from March 31 to May 1.

29 RBI for Vargas from Aug. 3 through Sept. 3

Someone needs to be Chief

[DarrenVahtra]

good win, the race to 89 losses is still a possibility.

Alright... It's random Adverb Night...

So you ditched Algebra class but attended English, I see.

[glunn]

Trevor May gets his first win.  I hope that he has many more.

Where is Chief to call this one?

[ashbury]

"Winnah!  Time for my nap."

[D. Hocking]

As log as hawk is"calling" games i will never feel sorry for the sox. Truly the worst broadcaster in sports.

I bet if he ever asked "Can I help you" it would be in an a-hole fashion.

[ashbury]

Achter ties a major league record with a scoreless beginning to his career.

[Riverbrian]

So you ditched Algebra class but attended English, I see.

Yeah... It's obvious based on my punctuation.

[stringer bell]

Vargas does a pretty good job in English, EE not so much.  I heard Escobar do an interview in English earlier this year and he really was tough to understand.

BTW, this Vargas cat might be a lot of fun!  Another cheapie, this time to left!

[SydneyTwinsFan]

This lineup could be fun to watch through September:

Santana SS

Dozier 2B

Mauer 1B

Vargas DH

Pinto C

Arcia RF

Plouffe 3B

Hicks CF

Schafer LF

Substitute Sano for Plouffe and Buxton for Schafer (Hicks sliding over to LF) and next September could be even funner.

[Kirby_waved_at_me]

It sure is fun to watch the Twins win! I could get used to it.
