From an umpire's point of view, that damn backdoor curve that tries to nip the outside corner is tough to call.  But if you recognize the pitch, you can actually use where the catcher catches it to guide your call.  Sox catcher framed it well and he got the call.

 

Meanwhile, can we dump Swarzak too?  To me, his outing vs the Injuns was more aberration than anything else.  I cringe every time I see him come in.
