ashbury Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 But I've watched a couple of the 1965 World Series games and the crowd was very quiet throughout. No, you're right. The 1967 game was instrumental in deciding the pennant, so the fans were engaged there too. I was just kidding.

D. Hocking Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 But I've watched a couple of the 1965 World Series games and the crowd was very quiet throughout. I always like watching the crowd in old game clips. One thing that struck me when watching the Ken Burns series is how everyone was wearing shirt and ties through the 1960s. That picture of RiverBrian's grandfather might give me nightmares tonight. No offense HotRiverBrian.

Bark's Lounge Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Pick one. I'll take whichever personality is left. Flip for the rest. Take em' both. You can be my brother in law and raise my kids. Sounds like a "Win Win" to me.
Guest USAFChief Guests Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 0-2 pitch...foul, foul, liner to left. Fine his ass!
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Baseball is a crazy game! Stupid baserunning becomes aggressive, smart baserunning. I love Aggressive Base Running... Make them make a play!!! Last Year was so conservative I nodded off watching many games.

GCTF Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 So Arcia, what to do? Maybe he should randomly take up switch hitting and then abruptly abandon it.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Arcia needs to step up. Hmmm, maybe I should start a thread.
GCTF Verified Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 The Twins have just added a new player: Oswaldo Mendoza. Sounds like a backup middle infielder.
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 6-5 Twins top of the fifth:pBack to the "watermelon/old frig contents" thread:th_alc: I wonder how long it took "People" to figure out that there was red stuff inside that tastes good. Watermelons were probably lying around for years until someone got really hungry or someone accidentally dropped one while removing one to get at some other kind of food.

Hungry person stalks anteater. Anteater tails ants. Ants swarm to fractured watermelon. Mankind's first and most confusing picnic ensues. And who was the first person to have their salivary glands triggered by a live lobster or crab?

So many strange foods, that I always ask myself "who was the first person to eat it?". And what came first, the watermelon or it's seed? And who first put his old frig in his garage? Back to the game, GO TWINS!!!!!
