I'm conflicted. It seems like a bad inning, but on the other hand, 7 isn't really a crooked number. Just two straight lines, at a rather unremarkable angle. So how bad could it have been?

7 run bottom of thirds have a way of torpedoing game threads.

EDIT: Eight runs. We'll need 8 runs.

Keep that edit function handy, friend.

But for the off an on rain here, I'd give up but since it starts raining every time I go outside, I guess I'll stay awhile.

Sound muted, though.

Ugh. Just tuned in in between stuff. Deduno. <shakes head> Have never been that high on him. Too erratic.

That, and one G. D. hit...

And there are probably several Twins Cities-based fans who chose outdoor pursuits this afternoon before the game even began. Deduno is fun to watch and all, but it's hard for even him to compete against 60 degrees, solid overcast skies, and intermittent rain showers in a state with 6 months of winter.

2. Sam Deduno -- I'm a loud believer in Sam Deduno and there are times this year that I have been rolling against the tide. My support is not wavering however he has failed to reach 6 innings in his last 4 starts and he will need to increase his IP if he wants to remain a starter in the future. Sam... if you are reading this... Just trust your stuff and attack the strike zone. The walks are your biggest bugaboo. Curb those things and you'll be surprised how happy you are and everyone else is. I stopped walking at night and I'm much happier.

4. Eduardo Escobar -- I know there is a bunch of TD'ers who expect regression. Maybe he will... But last night he convinced me that he's a ball player. That at-bat in the 9th against a struggling Joe Nathan was a thing of beauty. It's something that gamers do. He was fouling off some pretty good pitches to draw a bases loaded walk. We needed an insurance run and he got the (6 years old. But... while small talking and out of things to say... I asked... "How Old"? She replied "25 Months". I immediately wondered why she didn't simply say 2 years old. It was my turn to say something but there was a long pause in the conversation as I was doing math in my head... Finally I said... "We'll... I'm 585 Months old". I figured it was her turn to do the math... So I said... "No calculators... Good seeing you... I'll talk to you later"... And I walked away.

2 I'm a doubter, he just cant throw strikes. He was one of the better rotation members last year. Says more about how bad it was for the rotation.

4 I'm a believer he might not be Jeter, but he's good and he's young enough to be a part of the future. Santana has more upside, but maybe CF is a good fit, maybe utility guy. I think there's plenty of room for both.

2 out rally coming up....

If there's a comeback, my prediction is that it will randomly coincide with Sanchez finally coming out of the game in the 7th or 8th, depending on whether he has to sit through another Tigers 20 minute bat-around.

I'm like Will Ferrell running down the street in old school... Very few are behind me now.

Golden Sombrero for Fuld.

Technically, not until he strikes out a fourth time. I think the term was coined by Doubleday on a weekend drunk in Tijuana.

Ok Deduno had a bad day... Seems like Swarzak and Matty G are also having bad days.

Maybe the Tigers are just having a good day. (Ducks behind the couch).

Well, they've been due for a good day ...

but I don't think that means that the Twins haven't stunk it up today.
