Twins gave 40 starts last year to guys (including Gibson) with higher xFIP's than VW's 4.76, and 53 more to Pelfrey and Diamond, who were both with a tenth or two of that mark. Looks like his walk rate in AAA this year is between a third and a quarter of what it was with the Twins last year.

 

Is there a sadder play in baseball than the home run trot followed by a mad scramble to reach second? VMart should know better, even in a blowout.

Hunter's non-attempt on the Fryer hit followed by Nunez jogging into third did it for me. Looks from the timing of your post that it was a highlight for you as well. The fact that Nunez is probably injured is just a head start on another clunker tomorrow.
