LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 I'm like Will Ferrell running down the street in old school... Very few are behind me now.Perfect image to go with the way they're playing!http://static5.businessinsider.com/image/4def770d4bd7c86052150000/ex-sacer-why-i-ran-down-the-street-in-my-underwear-on-a-business-trip.jpg http://img.youtube.com/vi/TelYnkfQQ9U/hqdefault.jpg Three more innings to go. Could get frontal before it's over...
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2014 Author Posted June 14, 2014 Well, they've been due for a good day ... but I don't think that means that the Twins haven't stunk it up today. Now Now JB... Sometimes Nebraska just beats Iowa.

JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 OTOH, the Tigers' fielding is looking a little clownish
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2014 Author Posted June 14, 2014 That was cruel. Are you Iowa or Iowa State?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2014 Author Posted June 14, 2014 OTOH, the Tigers' fielding is looking a little clownish Pretty lame attempt by Hunter.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Ten runs is a big lead, but you're still a professional, Tigers outfield. Two bad misplays on the triples. Hunter's was especially bad, and no backup to boot. At least the Twins are finally making contact, four innings too late...

Everybody has been biting it against him.
ScottyB Verified Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 We might as well put Burton and Duensing in now, then we can't use them tomorrow.
Circus Boy Verified Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 what a disaster!!!!! Are you not entertained?!?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2014 Author Posted June 14, 2014 looking interesting!!!! Are you at the Louvre?
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Are you Iowa or Iowa State? On Iowa, On Forevermore (I have a sister who is an Iowa State grad and still lives in Ames. I LOVE that her daughters both went to Iowa. One graduated in 2013 and the other will graduate next year.)

longtimefan Verified Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 and he makes his usual out with runners in scoring position!!!!
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 OK... I'll make fun of them a little less out of respect for you. Pretty thick skin here so you may say what you like. Living in northwest Iowa, though, we about the same coverage for the Huskers as for the Clones and Hawks. Coaches shows for all 3, etc.
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 So I see Vanimal will be making his ML season debut for the Pirates today/tonight. And another one bites the dust.....

LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 So I see Vanimal will be making his ML season debut for the Pirates today/tonight.Twins gave 40 starts last year to guys (including Gibson) with higher xFIP's than VW's 4.76, and 53 more to Pelfrey and Diamond, who were both with a tenth or two of that mark. Looks like his walk rate in AAA this year is between a third and a quarter of what it was with the Twins last year. Is there a sadder play in baseball than the home run trot followed by a mad scramble to reach second? VMart should know better, even in a blowout.

Giving the ball to a fan with two outs and runners on.

stringer bell Verified Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Caught the score and some highlights on the way home. Sounds like Plouffe is going to be out a while. Nunez the regular 3B? Or do they recall Robinson?

Nunez the regular 3B? Or do they recall Robinson? It could end being a pitcher. We have more options on the mound. Robinson isn't on the 4o man. If it's not a pitcher... Florimon?
Riverbrian Old-Timey Member Posted June 14, 2014 Author Posted June 14, 2014 This may be the ugliest game I've seen in awhile.
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Imagining Dombrowski has been texting Little Caesar about money to get help for the bullpen after every run they've given up today... Was about to say this is the ugliest game I've seen in a long time, but then remembered that gem last Sunday vs. the Astros.
Puckett34 Verified Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 Good time for Mauer's first hit of the day. Also, on word on what's up with Nunez?
LaBombo Verified Member Posted June 14, 2014 Posted June 14, 2014 This may be the ugliest game I've seen in awhile. Hunter's non-attempt on the Fryer hit followed by Nunez jogging into third did it for me. Looks from the timing of your post that it was a highlight for you as well. The fact that Nunez is probably injured is just a head start on another clunker tomorrow.
