What a satisfying game.

It reminded me of "Return of the Jedi", with Hughes as Luke Skywalker, Willingham as Han Solo and his soldiers on Endor and Dozier as Wedge Antilles and Lando Calrissian.... sealing the deal.

The Empire has been destroyed - at least for today.

Me too, chief...and he's an easy guy to cheer for (unlike Nolasco who strikes me as being a little surly)

I was going to make a tasteless, cruel joke about the blue hair still being there, but I decided not to.

I would have said it takes one blue hair to recognize another.

I have always been a fan of Kubel, but am now ready to see him leave.

Anyone want a little icing on their "Sunday"?

Berrios goes into the 5th with a perfect game going....

Perhaps he could consult on the matter of retirement with the former Team Chemist?

Yeah...provided I have my reading glasses on.

Yes, especially Dozier and Mauer (who seems to improve defensively every day).

I have noticed the same thing, Mauer has actually been tremendous in the field of late....even in the midst of what may be his worst hitting slump, ever.

And speaking of that, Dozier has been slumping of late, the kind of batting slump that would have melted him into a wet tub of goo at SS back in 2012, tremendous day in the field for Dozier.

911: Good Afternoon 911... Is this an emergency?

Chief: I think so... My friend ChiTown was holding her breath and she stopped posting.

911: Sir... The caller ID says this call is coming from Arizona.

Chief: Yes... I live in Arizona.

911: This is Chicago 911

Chief: Yes.. ChiTown lives in ChiTown.

911: you say she was holding her breath... Is she breathing now?

Chief: I don't know

911: Look at her chest... Is it rising and falling?

Chief: I can't look at her chest.

911: It's ok... Don't be bashful its a medical emergency.

Laughing so hard I almost stopped breathing.

I had no expectation for the boys this year. Of the three games, I've seen in person, two were real, real, good. The team looks like they believe in themselves, and if they try hard, good results can happen.

It's a nice, nice change of pace.

Thanks for the heads up. Alas, i turned on the radio, and heard a double off the wall...

But he's still dealing, and hopefully will strand that runner.

Two hour time difference.

...but still pining for P-Flo...just a little bit?

Defensively I do... Although... He wasn't 2013 like with the glove in 2014.

I see his offensive numbers coming up in Rochester... Santana pretend D.L'ed. We are down to 7 SS's now.

It could be Florimon coming up.

I'm not surprised that he would have a sharp learning curve at first base, considering what a versatile athlete he is. But his plate woes are getting difficult to watch. I bit my tongue when he singled sharply up the middle on a first pitch fastball...I was starting to get as repetitive as the YES announcers.

"Most impressive win of the last 3 1/2 years"

Pretty low bar to clear there, Dick.

Hoping you are referencing the Twins TV broadcaster......
