I'm actually jealous, jb. Living in LA, I really miss a good thunderstorm. God, I wish it would rain!

 

I LOVE thunderstorms ... but so far we had thunder and lightning but appear to be in a dry slot (we're near drought conditions) but finally ...

 

glorious rain. It would be lovely if it rained all night.

Yes, but the Yankees offered to pay the roster bonus to keep him around.

I'm sure Ronny G's memories are sharper than mine and that was the basis for his roster move.

I need somebody who is smarter at baseball then me to explain to me the purpose of Kubel walking up to the plate and doing exactly what everybody knew he was going to do while the man second on the team in dingers watches helplessly as Kubal k's helplessly. Does anybody really believe that it will be Hicks sent down when Fuld comes back and not Kubal released?

Kubel doesn't look good right now... However... Like I mentioned in the set up... Brian Dozier is now 0-17 and 2-35.

 

Slumps can can be deep and they can be broken out of.

 

I just don't like the idea of playing through them while you sit someone who could heat up.

I remember him hitting a game winning homer off Rivera maybe 4-5 years ago...maybe even a grand slam? But that was clearly a different Kubel
