Gibby Provisional Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Saw some video from Grand and it looks fun! Go! I'm going a little later. If anyone winds up at Dixies, I'll be playing guitar there.

I flipped a puck at our left winger in HS and cut his eyelid open. One of the dads, a doc, sewed him up on the bench and he played that night.

Boom Boom Verified Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Can't imagine what pitch Kubesie was looking for there.
longstrangetrip Verified Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Can't imagine what pitch Kubesie was looking for there. We can only assume one of those 80 mph batting practice pitches he's been seeing so well in the cage.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Hughsie will give the boys a chance to play some Twins Baseball. I just hope the other pitcher does his part with walks, hit batters, and wild pitches.
longstrangetrip Verified Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 YES announcers are saying the Twins are the only team that doesn't shift for McCann. Oh, that crafty Gardy...always one step ahead of the other managers.
longstrangetrip Verified Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Dozier is SO good defensively!
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Okay, Howard Sinker posts a menu for Yankee Stadium. What seems more absurd? Nachos Grande (cheese, salsa, sour cream) $12.00Fresh Popcorn $7.75 I realize it depends on the size but the popcorn still seems more absurd to me.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 How many times do you see a guy make a great play in the field, then come to the plate and...blah blah blah...
JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Santana's eyelid doesn't look too bad from this vantage point.
Trevor0333 Provisional Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Such a great instinctive play by Dozier. No way he is ever moving off 2nd, the guy just continues to amaze the way he has transformed his game.

Yep, they are selling about 4 cents worth of popcorn for 7.50.

JB_Iowa Verified Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Yep, they are selling about 4 cents worth of popcorn for 7.50. Yeah, that's why I was surprised at Howard's comment on the Nachos. At least you get cheese. Although cheese, salsa, sour cream sounds a bit like regular Nachos to me not Grande but maybe you get more than 5.
Gibby Provisional Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Smalley sounds like he is talking to toddlers.
longstrangetrip Verified Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 How many times do you see a guy make a great play in the field, then come to the plate and...blah blah blah... 12.5 % of the time...in the American League?
longstrangetrip Verified Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Gardy continues his sterling challenge record...

I always made sure my waitstaff knew the profit margin on every menu item, and I set goals for the mix of items I wanted them to sell. They felt involved, and really gave a **** about what we were trying to accomplish.
longstrangetrip Verified Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 Attakid Plouffsie! For the second consecutive day, the guy after Mauer picks him up after he failed to score a RISP (although in all fairness, Mauer hit his ball better than Plouffe)
Gibby Provisional Member Posted June 1, 2014 Posted June 1, 2014 My daughters have been rooting hard for Plouffe, because they think he is cute.
