Reider Verified Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Turns out Florimon is a rally starter, not a rally killer! Nice hit Joe!
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 I like that #42's approach to the game.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Damn! in in Edmonton and the power is out in the south half of the city, traffic nightmare, watching in gamecast.
stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Number 42 is having a good game so far.
Physics Guy Verified Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Bremer thought that one was off the wall. Shocking.
twinsnorth49 Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Woot Woot - we all had faith in Mauer there, right?!? We shouldn't?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 I like that #42's approach to the game.Ash, I might be two days older, but you are quicker with the quip.
Reider Verified Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Morrow is at 58 pitches after 2 innings. This is looking good so far.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Sierra was unaware there were two outs when he made that catch. Kangaroo Court should profit by $100 or so for the season-end party.
Intramural Legend Verified Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 We shouldn't? I certainly hope he get going so that we do
big dog Verified Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 OK, what was funnier there- a Bremergasm about a fly ball that didn't reach the warning track, or Cabrera catching the ball and planting to throw home...after the third out? -edit- Sierra not Cabrera. Cabrera might have already been in the dugout curled around the heater by the time the ball hit glove.
Physics Guy Verified Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Morrow looks like Pelfrey last year.
Beezer07 Provisional Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Dozier following the footsteps of 2013 Willingham. OBP now 160 points higher than his AVG
Intramural Legend Verified Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Sierra was unaware there were two outs when he made that catch. Kangaroo Court should profit by $100 or so for the season-end party. You stand outside for 25 minutes and let me know how clearly you are thinking
Beezer07 Provisional Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 If Mauer were really worth $23MM he would have hit a HR there.
Physics Guy Verified Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Florimon earning his paycheck tonight.
big dog Verified Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 If Mauer were really worth $23MM he would have hit a HR there. If he hit a home run every time people wanted one he'd be worth the franchise. Great play by Florimon.
Reider Verified Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Ladies and gentleman, defensively, our middle infield is awesome! I love watching these guys play.
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 If Mauer were really worth $23MM he would have hit a HR there. And follow up with a blog entry about it here on TD. We fans are paying his salary after all. Amiright?
Intramural Legend Verified Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 I really hope Colabello's start isn't a mirage. How can you not root for a story like his?
stringer bell Verified Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Gibbie gives good interview. He sounds just like Topher Grace of "That 70s Show".
Squirrel Community Moderator Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Splendid game thread so far. Just caught up.
Reider Verified Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 If Colabello keeps hitting to the right side of the field, teams are going to have to play the shift to the right. Speaking of which, does anybody know if a team has ever played a shift to a players off field?
Beezer07 Provisional Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 And follow up with a blog entry about it here on TD. We fans are paying his salary after all. Amiright? Seriously. I'm assuming the money I pay to MLB.tv goes straight into Joe's no-HR-power pockets
ashbury Verified Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Seriously. I'm assuming the money I pay to MLB.tv goes straight into Joe's no-HR-power pockets He sits in the clubhouse laughing after every game. "Man, I could hit home runs, but the rubes are clapping when I just hit a single, why should I go to the extra effort? Hey, I see Ashbury just ponied up $20 for a whole month on the web, big investment there Rockefeller!"
Reider Verified Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 78 pitches through 3 innings, Morrow will be lucky if he makes it to the 5th inning.
Beezer07 Provisional Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 He sits in the clubhouse laughing after every game. Hey, I see Ashbury just ponied up $20 for a whole month on the web, big investment there Rockefeller!" I can't imagine the number of times he's skipped batting practice "because I've got this singles thing down cold!"
LaBombo Verified Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 He sounds just like Topher Grace of "That 70s Show".Bad or good trend indicator?
Intramural Legend Verified Member Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Oh Oh - is this the patented (2 previous times) Hughes inning?
