Tap Tap Tap... ChiTown... Tap Tap Tap... ChiTown... Tap Tap Tap... ChiTown.

ChiTown: What do ya want Sheldon?

Sheldon: I need the lineups!!!

ChiTown: Lineups?

Sheldon: Baseball nomenclature for the systematic placement of nine athletes selected by the team supervisor that declares the exact order of batters to face the opposition and where they have to stand when playing defense.

ChiTown: Oh (Pause) In a bit

Sheldon: So... I should wait right here.

ChiTown: Yep Right Here (Door Slams)

-------------------------------------------

Geez, settle down, man ... ;)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Things to Think About:

1. The Blue Jays -- The AL East Division Leading Blue Jays are coming to town. 7-6 is good enough to be on top of the East. The Twins at 6-6 would be just a half game out if we were in the East... But No!!! We are in the death trap called the AL Central. I wish we could play in a cupcake division like the AL East!!!

2. Brett Lawrie -- This one comes with a Video (Yeah I'm High Tech)

This is the most recent example of jaw dropping defensive skill. The level of defense played by Brett Lawrie is a whole new level. Brooks Robinson has nothing on what is happening today at the hot corner. Sorry to the old guys who watched Brooks play. Brooks was the best for his time but today's top end 3B talent is leaps and bounds better. Brett Lawrie, Nolan Arenando of the Rockies and Manny Machado of the Orioles are incredible defenders. The likes of which have never been seen before and they are on display on almost a nightly basis. I know that Lawrie is out there and I know that Arenando is out there and it's part of what was my defensive frustration with Plouffe. He can't do this stuff and I want someone who can do this stuff.

3. Trevor Plouffe -- I retract what I just said about Trevor Plouffe... If he continues to hit and use the whole field like he has been doing. He doesn't have to play like Lawrie at 3B. I defensively forgive him... so he doesn't have to get defensive about it.

4. Phil Hughes -- Start number 3 for the Twins... It's been one bad inning in each start. The other innings have been great. Let's see if he can prevent the bad inning. At least give up just one run an inning for a change of pace.

5. Canada -- Canadians come down to the states often but we don't get up to Canada much in return. The last time I was in Canada was before passports were required. My Sister went up there once and ran into a moose. She called my other sister to pick her up because her car was wrecked and my other sister ran into another moose on the way. They called me to come get them both. I told them they had to walk home. I'm not an idiot... I recognized the pattern immediately.

ChiTown: Now what?

Sheldon: Your lineup contains a fallacy and/or paradox and/or conundrum.

ChiTown: What are you talking about?

Sheldon: A fallacy is a deceptive, misleading or false notion. A paradox...

ChiTown: I know what the words mean, Sheldon. Unlike my neighbor Penny next door. What problem do you think you have found?

Sheldon: Your lineup shows a DH for the Twins, but a pitcher is still batting ninth.

Actually most pitchers would hit better at this point. Maybe use the DH for Floriman?

Fun idea, but the thinking is a little too outside-the-box, since the rules do specify the pitcher being the one batted for.

A moose once bit my sister.

Is this the perp?

Edit: I missed the Python reference on first try. Perhaps because you misspelled Møøse.

Given the logo on the hat, he's most likely guilty of SOMEthing.

Hmmm. Do the rules REQUIRE the DH to hit for the pitcher? Nolasco was in the NL, he has batted before.

Oh, now you've gone and jinxed the thread, and somebody will shortly deliver a real sidesplitter to ruin the perfecto we had going.

You should be given a demerit or something for high jacking the tread with rules and stuff.

Floriman would die of shame if we used our DH for him. But no, the DH can hit for any player I believe.
