    They are in the process of getting Louie ready for reliever work in the bigs. I've been thinking it would be wise to have him debut in that role against a little softer lineup than this one.

    When I was putting this together BTG ninja'd me on it. May as well highlight it since he said it better than I would have. I think they even mentioned Eddie's leg on the broadcast. Anyway, a good move and their intentions were proved out by going for the steal. There was some fun, aggressive small ball in this game. I don't remember a Twins team going for so many safety squeezes, what an exciting play.

    This is a good point and if true, offers some hope.

    I'd argue the opposite. Tendon repairs can be done multiple times to the same joint. They can result in a completely healthy joint (as long as the cartilage is intact). It is cartilage damage that is the most serious injury for an athlete. It cannot be repaired, only mitigated. There is no current technology to replace cartilage. This sort of degenerative damage is what leads to knee replacement. It is becoming obvious that this is where Buxton is at, unfortunately.
