Things are moving slowly around here today.

I like how fast these young starters work. I remember rooting and rooting for Gibby to put it all together. And rooting. And rooting.... Nibble nibble

    Oh my gosh, Josh!

What, Winder out for the 6th? Rocco grinding another starter to pulp. ?

Larnach has looked good to me. 2 assists and he robbed a homer, although it bounced out of his glove for a double. He looks like he came to play this year.

Just finished the 5th and I'm guessing that's it for Winder. If this is what a pitching pipeline looks like I find it quite attractive.

jmlease said "Hells bells, man: literally the day before Jeffers went 2-3 with a double and home run. The last seven days (on the very page you linked) shows Jeffers was 5-16 with 3 doubles and 2 home runs. Stop cherry-picking out one bad game at the plate to try and bury a player that you seem to hate for...reasons?" I'll add that Jeffer's block of that spiked pitch the other day allowed the Twins to steal that game. Looking at all the data points to one helluva catcher. C'mon RpR ya gotta be kidding, right? Just sitting there somewhere in the middle of Minnesota chuckling while you push all our buttons ?

Celestino looked pretty good yesterday and if he is gaining confidence, we've got something there. I am done with Garlic and Cave, well done. Having Celestino and Gordon as backup outfielders fits this defensively strong team well. The kind of defense the Twins have displayed makes our pitchers better and gets the starters deeper into games. Not to mention how fun it is to watch and picks up the whole team. Let these young guys figure it out with the bat, Garlic and Cave aren't good enough to hold them back.

Is Popkins a bat whisperer? Both Jeffers and Kepler were swinging inside out and going opo. That is great to see. Kepler goes one short and one full season banging his bat against a wall before making adjustments? This new approach seems like a no brainer, but whatever better late than never. Then you have Paddack saying he realized last off-season that he needed a third pitch. Huh? Hey big guy great idea! Whatever I'll take it. This FO and coaching staff took a whole lot of heat last year. Developing your talent is primary.

This is a good idea. I don't think DaSmeltz plays as a reliever and while he is looking good (AKA trade value), with this pipeline he is not what I want in the rotation. I would trade him for a reliever. “I think it’s destroying the game of baseball. I had two strikeouts in my last game on it (granted strikes from the umpire), and it’s ridiculous, honestly. These are guys’ careers. It’ll never happen in the big leagues. I don’t think the union will ever allow it.” Those two batters he speaks of who got him a couple of cheap strikeouts that hurt their prospective careers had better get their assess into the box or get left behind.

Joe Cool is so smooth. Always balanced as he finishes his pitches. This looks sustainable and with that pace and command, damn fun to watch.

Mr Link you are positively gushing!

Look it I guess just wind me up like a top, but Rocco can only use the players he is provided. What is he supposed to do with that bullpen? Burn Duran out before the middle of May? Calling Rocco the worst manager in the history of the Twins is completely ridiculous.

That three run dinger by La Machina's cuz had me down, but man oh man what a pick me up! Hilarious. If Larnach had played it the way some said he should and scored, that only ties it. After the HUGE misfortune of last season we are due for some karmic payback, big time. The ledger is still not balanced after the Dirty Sux and Kitties gifted us a couple. I say give me more! I felt a turning of fortune after the Sox gaffe maybe we are in store for a charmed season. Championships are usually accompanied by some luck. Just look at Rosario's break out after a miserable run for Cleveland. Let's go! P.S. No analytics or statistics were utilized in this post.

Arraez is sure a nice pinch option. Oh and thanks Dick, keep your shirt on for the next fly ball.

Wait a sec was that a Quality Start from Paddock?

What in Correa's performance this year backs up your statement? This guy is an admitted allow starter who didn't have a full camp and the results clearly back this. Then the ridiculous negative hyperbole about Rocco. C'mon man. P.S. 210-174. You may not like the style, but the numbers look good to me. Measure them against Kelly. Kelly was a good manager, but he can only manage the talent on the roster he is provided.

Interesting interview with Archer where the former Ray said he was very impressed by the Twins hitter scouting reports and their analyitic process overall. Definitely an especially good sign from a former Ray.

I like Rocco Baldelli. I'm gonna guess there are 28 young men in that dugout who agree with me.
