  1. Excellent reads from the links shared above, keep your social distancing my friends.
  2. My Uncle Don always told us he would never feed those round bales to his cattle. He preferred that his livestock have a square meal. That being said, it's exciting to have the boys back, and hard not to be optomistic.
  3. Great read. I think PECOTA was a little tough on Byron with their .230 slash line, but I hope Buxton will prove them wrong and inprove on last year's numbers.
  4. The most extensive prediction segment I have ever seen on the Super Bowl, Love the sotiries and bios that went along with the predicitons. Would like to see the Chiefs win 28-21.
  5. I am one of Eddie's biggest supporters and I hope he takes some steps forward and improves defensively this year. Right now the Minnesota Twins have no one to replace his 30+ HRs and 100+ RBI in the minor leagues, so I don't think he's going anywhere for 2020. Beyond that, we'll have to see how much Larnach, Rooker, and Kirilloff are able to force the issue with their improved play.
  6. Nice...love love LOVE the Conan the Barbarian movie reference. Wheeler would have been a terrific addition, but geography became as much of a factor as the $18 million more the Phillies offered Falvey and Levine have had more hits than swings and misses acquring players and I'm exercising some patience to see how it all unfolds before I hit the panic button.
  7. Thank you Twins Daily for all that you do to provide us with stories, information, and perspectives on our favorite team. Twins Daily is always the first place I go, every morning, to find out "What's up" with the Minnesota Twins.
  8. At 40 years old and coming off an injury, I'm thinking "over the Hill."
  9. What a terrific stroll down memory lane Nick, for a decade of memories. Here's to many more decades of our favorite team at Target Field giving us reason to cheer.
  10. Great story on Jake Odorizzi, who I hope the Twins extend to a 3-4 year deal. An outright steal for the Twins from the Rays straight up for shortstop prospect Jermaine Palacios. Best deal so far from the Falvey/Levine regime although watch out how the Fernando Rodney for Dakota Chalmers pans out.
  11. The Minnesota Twins have noone ready to step in and contribrute the 30+ HRs and 100 RBI Eddie Rosario would contribute, do not make this deal.
  12. Grrrreat stuff. Really racks for brain and provides clarity for some of the stats. MLB and its fans in recent years seem to be over-hyping and emphasizing post-season accolades (Holladay & Schilling), much the way the NFL does when determining the overall greatness of a player, rather than the accumulated career statistics.
  13. I wish Hildy the best, first watched him pitch in Cedar Rapids and was always a nice guy to talk to and for autographs. I hope he can get back on track with another team, or resign with the Twins and figure it out in the minors. Decent firstbaseman are a dime a dozen, I like Sano at third while exploring the 1B surplus out there on a one year deal basis until Kirilloff, Rooker, Larnach, etc. are ready.
  14. Derek Jeter and I'll be cheering for Omar Vizquel too.
  15. Great story and terrific series. Excellent points and I like the idea of a new Minnesota Twins M & M combo...Marney and Morneau.
  16. Interesting take, I think moving Rosario has the potential to really mess with the team chemisty although it has become frequently speculated. . Lewin Diaz is now with the Miami Marlins organization, traded there in the Sergio Romo deal.
  17. I like the optimism, but expecting 2 players (Kirilloff and Rooker) without MLB experience to fill even close to 50+ HRs and 190 RBI that Rosario and Cron combined for, IMO is unrealistic.
  18. Very nice article, many good points. I think pitching upgrades are a must, I like the Pineda deal, but Perez will not pitch for the Twins again. We need an impact pictcher like Wheeler to push Odo and Berrios, and solitify our rotation. Luis Arraez make the Schoop resigning unnecessary.
  19. I think the price is not right for Betts and Price, way to steep for a one year rental..
  20. Eddie...Eddie...Eddie! I'm amazed by how many people think that the Minnesota Twins have another person in their organization ready to plug 109 RBI and 32 HRs into their line-up, and merely think someone else can step up even close to that level. They just aren't there...Wade? Cave? Rooker? Kirilloff? Larnach? None of them are the proven commodity that Rosario is offensively, or can even match him defensively for that matter, with the possible exception of Wade.
  21. Good video, comments, and overlay...thanks Tom.

    2020 Blueprint

For me, Gibson on a minor league deal only with invite to spring training and chance to make the MLB roster makes sense. Trading Sano and Rosario would upset the team chemistry too much, for too little return IMO. There's enough free agent starting pitching out there if the Twins are aggressive.
  23. Resign Cron, Minnesota has no established/proven 3B in their system. Sano is it.
  24. And I think with that comment, this discussion has just "jumped the shark." You don't just simply replace 32 HRs and 109 RBI with a rookie. How many of those 31 other leftfielders accumulated those stats?
