  1. Note to performers of God Bless America, caution: the end of the song is not the place to take the high road.
  2. I'm a big fan of Dakota Chalmers and I hope he can continue to stay healthy and make positive steps like this, he's got a live arm. He's the pitcher we acquired in the Fernando Rondey trade with the A's. Heard lots of good things when he was an Oakland prosepect, and he could quickly climb up the Twins prospect ladder.
  3. Minnesota Twins fans, remember the name Dakota Chalmers. He was a 3rd round pick by the Oakland A's in 2015, has had some injuries in the minors, and the Twins aquired him in an under the radar move for Fernando Rodney. He's currently rehabbing and pitching in the GCL. Heard some buzz about him in the minors with Oakland, has a live arm.
  4. Great story about Shannon Stewart, I think Torii Hunter nicknamed that outfield with Stewart, Jones, and him, the Soul Patrol. In 1987, I remember really liking the pick-up of veteran Don Baylor. He was past his 79' AL MVP days, but I thought provided leadership and a veteran presence on that 87' WS Champs team.
  5. My favorite part of Twins Daily each morning...seeing how the kids are doing. Always top notch reporting.
  6. A refreshing dose of common sense. Gracias amigo!
  7. If I'm not mistaken, Schoop signed a one year deal. Arraez has raked the ball at every level, hope he's able to make the most of this opportunity and have the inside track for 2B in the Twins future.
  8. The FIRST place I go for my Twins news every morning, Twins Daily & my coffee starts every day.
  9. This is the most comprehensive article I've ever read on pitch framing. Very well done. What a great read.
  10. Kaat was always one of my all-time favorites calling Twins games, I look forward to having him back and hearing his insights.
  11. On the coldest of Minnesota's mornings, this story warmed my heart.
  12. Clete Thomas...yikes! I had blocked that name from my memory.
  13. What a fun recap, a lot of names I haven't thought about in awhile, and some I had completely forgotten (or blocked) from my mind.
  14. IMO Halladay, simply put...doesn't have the career stats (not even close) for the HOF and I hope MLB doesn't start going NFL-like and letting everybody who had good post-season or Super Bowl stats, get enshrined (see Joe Namath as one example.) IMO Bonds, Sosa, and Clemens, and other steroid-tied players do not belong in the HOF period.
  15. I hope it was just the triceps for Reed and that he can be a veteran presence in our bullpen next year.
  16. Lower cost, lower risk pick-up. Think of the potential headlines Nick if/when C.J. has a good game or series, "Twins unlease The Krath of Cron" (for you Star Trek fans out there.)
  17. I am excited to see the new renovations and so glad the Twins don't just stand pat when they see a way to improve something at Target Field. I'm secretly hoping they post "something" at Harmon's 520 foot blast, it shattered seats when it landed. Here's a link from featuring Minnesota Twins team curator Clyde Doepner talking about the homerun.
  18. I hope MLB does not go to the clear bag NFL policy, I like being able to shove in a extra jacket in my bag, snacks, or baseballs if I'm looking for autographs. In moving the large glove commemorating Minnesota Twins gold glove winners 100 feet back toward downtown, they are taking away the significance of the spot where it was originally laid. 520 feet from home plate at Target Field. It was placed in that very spot to commorate the longest homerun hit in Minnesota Twins history by Harmon Killebrew on June 3, 1967. Oh' well.
  19. This is one of the most positive stories I've read about any single player. Case well-stated.
  20. Good article and interesting moves. I would put Kirilloff on my "no touch" list and I would much rather move Kepler than Rosario, if I had to choose between the two of them.
