I like this. Basically sign as much depth as they can, so they don't rush the next wave of prospects and limit how many indie-ball players appear as fourth outfielders or spot starters and long relievers during the year. Given Molitor's tendency to ride the hot hand in the bullpen, I think they should bulk up on veteran bullpen depth, where appearing 2-3 days in a row doesn't hurt their long-term development as players. I don't mind if a guy like Belisle pitches (effectively) 2-3 days in a row. It's too risky with young arms like Hildenberger.
