    Just for kicks and giggles, worth noting, that thus far there have been two all-stars in this draft and one of them (Brent Rooker) was drafted by the Twins.

    The fact that Willi Castro leads the team in Games Played and Plate Appearances shows how flawed this team either IS or IS playing. Not sure which. Failure of high picks like Kirilloff and Larnach to produce is a symptom and a cause.

    I understand that Margot has not performed anywhere near expectations so far but I also remember lamenting the fact that right around this time last year Donovan Solano was sitting on 5 RBI and he eventually became a key cog in the offense last year.

    But we've got Kiriloff. And Larnach. And Wallner.

    The mistake was letting him walk when they did. Over $8 million. What a joke. I'm old enough to remember a time when every self respecting Twins fan in the state would have ROASTED management for letting a bat get away because of $8 million. Rosario also brought intangibles that can't be measured on a stat sheet and sure has hell have not been replaced since he left. Bottom line is, regardless of what he's done elsewhere, this team has NEVER adequately replaced him and would have been better in the time since he's left had he not left.

    My decision on whether or not to pinch hit for Larnach would most likely be predicated on whether or not the pitcher possesses the ability to throw a baseball in a direction other than straight.

    truth be told, I seldom call for a head. I'm far more likely to fall on the side of calling folks out for moving on from certain players. I'm famously not a fan of having moved on from Rosario or trading the current American League Earned Average leader. I also usually fall on the side of firing management being a mistake. My takes often don't sit well with some of those who get to make calls on what is acceptable or not. Want proof? Wait for it.............................................................................................................................
