  1. I don't understand why Urshella rates so poorly defensively. Is it his range? Someone help me out here.
  2. I see Robert was placed on the IL yesterday. That really hurts the Whities. He's kind of their Buxton.
  3. Bremer face tattoo. Blyleven fart radius. Weird Al movie clip. It's going to be a great day!
  4. I still think that when Ober returns to the rotation, Winder goes to the bullpen. Plus maybe Woods-Richardson or someone like that brought up to help in relief. Add Alcala and Maeda in a month or so, and the pen could be good.
  5. Only 3 pitchers used. Great job by Coulombe and Moran. Bad start didn't burn up the bullpen
  6. Christmas came early this year. And Santa Claus was wearing catcher's equipment. Happy Holidays everyone!
  7. Whether you're a big fan of Dick Bremer or not, you need to read his book! It is phenomenal!
  8. The only solid contact Sano has made this season is with the ground when he broke his bat.
  9. Who was the batting practice pitcher in the Twins uniform in the 8th inning?
  10. It's official. Four games into the season brings the first "cut bait with Sano" post (unless I missed an earlier one)
  11. The pitching has been pretty good with the obvious exception of the "Duffey the closer" experience. Of course, we haven't seen Bundy and Archer yet (I am skeptical - please prove me wrong). I really think that when this team hits, they win.
  12. Twins need more than 5 starting pitchers. Look at the garbage arms they ran out there last year because nobody else could take the mound. Now, with the recent signings and the young talent coming up, the Twins have plenty of depth. Maeda comes back next year, too.
  13. I'm "over" on all but Sanchez's homers. I think Kiriloff plays a lot of first base and Sano is the DH for a bunch of games. I am an unabashed homer, though, so...
  14. Openers and Bullpen games, friends. I hate it, but get used to it. We are going to see a bunch of them
  15. You can never have too much good pitching. Not sure this qualifies as such.
  16. Saw Hosken hit a 3-run homer in the 9th inning against the Brewers' Jim Slaton in 1981 at the Met. Slaton took a no-hitter into the ninth inning. Twins still lost 5-3 with Rollie Fingers closing it out.
  17. Great article! You need pitching depth. Sam Malone is retired and in a TV series instead of a movie. However, I think Dave Spiwak is available as a waiver claim.
