    Look at the names listed, none of them were ever going to be shut down closers. Trading for average rp gets average results.

    Why would the Twins want to put more pressure on Ryan by making him opening day starter? He looks like he has great potential and it's very hard to find a good reason why they did this. Just let Gray do it and let Ryan have less stress and let him continue to grow into the future ace he can become.

    The biggest thing people are not thinking about is exactly how many top prospects never make it to the majors and if they do success is not guaranteed. Getting back a proven starter with a team friendly contract is the thing that all teams desire.

    Bring this up when it's June 1st. The season is very young and things can change. I will say that the Josh Donaldson deal is going to not turn out well. He misses too much time every year and he like everyone is is not getting any younger.

    The biggest concern will be how long it will take him to ramp up to being a starter? If he is stuck in the bullpen for the first 5 weeks just throwing an inning or 2 how long will it take him to be ready to go 6-7 innings?

    If you could actually teach some of these players how to properly bunt it would be great. Imagine how scary it would be if Buxton was a left handed hitter and knew how to bunt?

    I just have no interest in signing any of those players to the long term deals they will be seeking.

    Please save this for when the regular season starts. Spring training is just to get work in for most pitchers. Maybe they are working on a certain pitch and not pitching like they would in the regular season.

    He was DFA 4 times. He must have found the right pitching coach that finally unlocked his full potential.

    The dumbest thing the Twins could do would be to make a trade for anyone they can only control for one season. Foolish to give up prospects for a rental. I also can't see the Twins signing any of these shortstops long term anyways. One reason is hoping Royce Lewis would be ready soon and the other the can't afford to give a massive deal to them either. No chance they would spend $250M+ for 8 years.
