  1. i will take the under please hurry & give it to me
  2. Lineups posted. Welp, west coast here we go!
  3. Well, if it was me, the Twins would still be on Year 4 of the Darvish contract. Do you want to continue?
  4. Rocco predicted Pineda would get a long rest, so an IL stint seems imminent. I do think many teams would claim Dobnak but who knows, roster situations seem kind of wonky in 2021. I wouldn’t rush Duran and a couple of these other guys just because to save this season. They’re the seed corn and need to stay on their own timetable. We probably do see Duran in 2021 anyway. That will be fun. However I would consider accelerating some other guys in preparation for 2022. I will throw out two names: Villamont and Faucher. They are in AA now and in a normal year wouldn’t have a shot at all, but, let’s take a look. Others on this board might have other names the would like to see. As you say, it’s a total mess.
  5. It’s time. (Past time.) Shoemaker has earned roughly $20 million dollars as a ball player in his career. No need to shed a tear.
  6. Dobnak and Shoemaker have been dropped from the rotation, at least for now.
  7. The steam is that Buxton and Arraez will be activated for Monday in addition to Maeda. Celestino and Jax seem highly likely to be optioned. Be curious to see who the third player would be.
  8. Why are they yelling Jeter! Jeter! every time Altuve and Bergman come up? ??
  9. Good article. I’m rooting for Gordon. He has nice energy for 2021. I don’t know why Riddle and Blankenhorn were given priority. I am usually a skeptical of infielders in the outfield but that was a nice grab of a hard hit ball, albeit with an expected 77% catch chance. If what you say is true, and Gordon is limited to second base, that means the Twins have basically three second baseman to consider for 2022: Arraez, Polanco, and Gordon.
  10. Just great. We will probably see him next in the A.L. Division series holding one run leads in the 7th
  11. What a lightening strike comeback!
  12. I’m as anxious as anyone to see where the data leads us. There’s probably the run-of-the-mill sticky stuff that’s been passed down for basically forever (not excusing it) by many pitchers, and then there seems to be this new concoction that changes the game completely. Hey, I’d love it if none of it existed. i was surprised to see the Sawchik tweet about Josh Hader’s historically “poor” spin rates. Lower spin rate than Happ or Shoemaker.
  13. 53 Our Twins are on a season-long 53-win pace in games started by someone other than Berrios. That amounts to a 53-109 record, six games worse than the 2016 team.
  14. @bighat No, I have not stopped watching. Can’t stop won’t stop! Don’t know why; it’s in my blood. I’ve been a Twins fan longer than Falvey, Levine, Pohlad, or St. Peter, though not as long as some of the rest of you here. Our team, not theirs. also, I like to see for my own eyes when someone tells me “Player X actually did good tonight” so that I can confirm for myself, or if I disagree, or somewhere in the middle. And of course, I always want to think there will be a payoff at the end for the investment, whether it’s a World Series in some future year, or just seeing a player like Jeffers play his butt off on any given night. But I do plan to dip more into minor leagues, younger leagues, or independent ball more this summer. Somehow I survived half of 2020 without MLB better than expected, and I will survive just fine without it if there is a work stoppage in 2022. Note to owners and players.
  15. Reminds me of when Sid Hartman passed away, announced during a Vikings game that the Vikings were of course losing, and Paul Allen refused to let anyone talk about anything except Sid Hartman.
  16. I like it. They work it well into video highlights (when there are those)
  17. Hey Hey Cap’n Jax! Meet me down by the railroad tracks!
  18. Good instinct by Jeffers. Throw was almost a disaster, but got him out.
  19. They always played the Yankees respectably during the Kelly years, even in the 90s when they were bad and even when the Yankees. Started winning championships.
  20. I have a ScienceMinuteTrademark™ question for you: don’t great whites only breach when they are chasing prey?
  21. Hey remember that time in the 2000’s when the Twins swept the Yankees in the Metrodome?!? no, me neither
