    Under the same constraints the Twins faced. For example, the 2020 minor league season was cancelled for all teams, not just the Twins.

    It is a huge concern. Even in 2019, they were down to two starting pitchers by the end. How deep into the postseason did they think they would go with only two starters!

    Ohtani having an MVP season. That said, when Ohtani is in the lineup as a starting pitcher who also bats in American League games, that would seem to put the Angels at a disadvantage once Ohtani is taken from the game. And particularly so, in games Ohtani is removed from the game early. That said, take a look at this game last night, when Ohtani did not make it out of the first inning as a starting pitcher.     The Brewers scored 15 unanswered runs today after the Cubs scored 7 in the top of the first, and now Atlanta has scored 20 unanswered runs against the Mets tonight. So I’m thinking the Twins will win this game by a score of 26-8 or something

    Can someone point me directly to where the game-by-game or even pitch-to-pitch spin rates are located? @jorgenswest @Vanimal46 Maeda's four-seam spin rates have actually been decreasing by small amounts, on a year-by-year basis. Personally I could attribute that to aging.

    I am still disappointed that the Twins cancelled Saturday’s game so that “Happ can pitch Sunday and we will send out Maeda to pitch Monday in Chicago, instead.” Well apparently Chicago heard about this, and countered with their own chess move tactics by cancelling the Monday game Maeda was preparing for, and then letting the grounds crew run out and interrupt Maeda in the third inning last night. Just play the game! If you want to back him up until Monday, just back him up. If he’s hurt, put him on the IL. Don’t turn around and say the weather was bad or all the days off affected him or whatnot. The Twins are making their own bad luck, and not just on the field, and before 2022 arrives the whole org needs to return to fundamentals!
