    To answer the question posed in the o.p... i liked the signing, I like how he plays (except for the weird errors) but his style just didn’t mesh with the team this year. Also didn’t help that we fell out of the race so quickly.

    Morosi is another media guy stoking the flames for trading Berrios. I feel like these stories really only serve the media guys themselves. I see the argument for trading Berrios, but I'm personally not interested unless it something like what the front office is asking.

    Duffey hasn’t pitched in several days. I recall this with Pressly in 2018 as well, him not coming into games you would expect him to. the radio guys said Duffey came in to the dugout either between innings yesterday or during someone else’s pitching change, stomped on the mound or something on the way, and then kept going to the dugout. It was kind of unclear what had happened but its good for gossip. Anyone see this in person?

    I would also be curious about the counter proposal, as well as the incentives. A base offer of 7/73 is... ah i don’t know

    Duran should start 2022 in the Twins MLB bullpen, which should both help the Twins and also manage his innings in a more natural way than him trying to be a starter after two seasons of minimal innings. Clear out the 40-man. Carrying guys like Thorpe and Smeltzer has already cost the Twins opportunities for guys like Tyler Wells. And as usual they will have to sign the right free agents this offseason.

    The Cubs had an unusual draft in 2016 without 1 & 2 round picks, and went exclusively for signable or 4th year college pitchers the first 16 rounds (with one catcher sprinkled in). None of them panned out. Their first position player was their 17th round pick and is now the starting shortstop for the Tigers (Edit: yes I had to look all that up again, but I did have a recollection of a team drafting all pitchers previously)
