Not to mention Eaton, Robertson, Abreu, and other guys. What is unknown is why those guys never got it done. That team had as much talent as any team in the division, but were missing that extra something, or something was holding them back.
RE24 hasn't really caught on yet, but it is tracked on the stats sites. It can account for the middle guy's single very well http://www.fangraphs.com/library/misc/re24/
I don't think the Twins will contend until 2019, for the simple fact that Molitor won't figure out not to use Duffey in important situations until 2019.
I hate when outfielders play shallow like that. Maybe the coaches positioned Rosario there based on batted ball data. If not, someone in the dugout should have told him to back up.
Grrrrr.... I don't want them trading away a Nick Gordon for a two month rental, but I do want pitching at some point very soon. Like, now. We are playing a poor hand at the moment, but so is everyone else in the Central. No guarantee what the standings will look like a year from now!
I'm getting a little peeved at all these poundings. Falvey brought in his own people, including his catchers, and they are all supposed to have analytical insights about how to pitch to teams. They had a week to prepare for this series.
