  1. Luke Farrell is underrated. I'll bet most people couldn't tell you he is on the roster but he's been effective in the bullpen which is more than you can say about most of their relievers. Just a few days ago I was pretty sure he would get released but now I think they might keep him around for another season.
  2. I think Josh Donaldson is underrated. He gets endless grief from fans because he makes money but he's one of the few players earning his paycheck this season.
  3. I guess if your plan for 2022 is to finish ahead of the Royals.
  4. Pineda is one of the pitchers the Twins must replace with a better option if they want to contend. Does anyone want to see Pineda starting a playoff game?
  5. He's using an unusual fastball delivery to get good results. Eventually big league hitters will adjust and he'll need to use his secondary pitches.
  6. The "he hasn't made an error at SS" argument is pretty ridiculous. He's been a below average fielder at 2B and 3B. What about that makes you think he'd be a good option at SS? Nick Gordon is one of the players they need to replace if they want to contend.
  7. What else are they going to spend money on? Starting pitching is their biggest need. They're probably not going to sign a shortstop to a big contract with Royce Lewis in the minors. The rest of the lineup is average or better at their position. The pitching staff has one pitcher with a WAR above 0.8 - Bailey Ober. They need as many as 10 pitchers on the 40 man roster to be replaced with better talent to contend. Of course they need to obtain some of that pitching through free agency.
  8. Injured or consistently terrible (or both) is representative of the 2021 Twins.
  9. I think you released this article about 6 months too early.
  10. If pitching as well as Berrios is so damned easy how come almost nobody else can do it? He's one of the top 30 pitchers in the league.
  11. Agreed, they need to bring in as many pitchers in that price range as possible.
  12. Last year was one of the hardest to judge for that draft with no minor league season to go on. These players have developed into big league prospects over the course of this season. I don't think Jovani Moran would have been successful in the majors in April. I'm not entirely sure he'll be successful in September.
  13. Sano is the guy I'd be looking to trade. He offers the least bang for the buck. Expect Miranda to bounce back and forth between AAA and the big leagues next season.
  14. The way this season is going I would guess the day they designate Andrelton Simmons for assignment is the day before two other infielders end up on the disabled list.
  15. I was pretty sure we were going to see Ryan make his debut due to Maeda's injury but then I saw that Dobnak made a rehab start and I think I've changed my mind. Dobnak will come up before Ryan. There isn't an everyday spot for Miranda at the moment. Even if Sano or Donaldson got hurt that would just open a regular spot for Arraez.
  16. How many of the people saying "he was rushed" are the same people who accuse the Twins management of promoting too slowly and want to promote every minor league player after a hot week?
  17. Correct. Rooker is over 130 at-bats so he's no longer a "prospect". Nick Gordon should hit 45 days on the active roster soon as well. Everyone else should maintain rookie status until at least next season. Celestino is the next highest for service time.
  18. Rooker will be off this list if he gets 13 more at-bats. He's batting 2nd today so I'm guessing he's off the list by the end of this week.
  19. I'm surprised Nick Gordon is < 45 days on the active roster with 37 games played.
  20. Celestino has the CF spot in AAA. I'm guessing nobody gets promoted until September. It is disappointing that the Twins seem to want to turn him into a left fielder (see the comment in the article that Martin doesn't have enough arm for CF).
