With good players, I would hope the FO promotes them based on their readiness, and not to avoid losing them, especially pitchers who are only going to throw so many pitches in their career.

Great article @Matthew Trueblood How large of a sample size to be statistically significant? Is 97 changeups, 125 sliders, 160 fourseamers enough?
