  1. Who goes? DFA Margot is an easy one. Option Kirilloff? DFA Santana? They could DFA Farmer, but then SS gets rather thin if Correa gets injured. Castro is bad there, Lewis and Lee have both been injured and probably can’t jump into the deep end with both feet. that’s where I get a bit nervous DFAing the vets. The young guys have been hurt and inconsistent. Better inconsistent than consistently bad…. But the injuries
  2. As of May 27, at 80 plate appearances Santana’s .643 OPS ranks 28th in MLB First Basemen.
  3. If no one can change your opinion, and all that matters is your opinion, what was the point of this thread? the whole point of the forums is to discuss and debate.
  4. They’re not below average. It’s the worst season of his career by a wide margin. .38 BB/K is the killer.
  5. They don’t like Margot in CF, even w/ Buxton out. I think Martin is here until Buck comes back. i think Miranda gets demoted
  6. Welcome to TD! Great post!
  7. A year ago, I couldn’t have imagined a scenario where the Twins extended Kepler. now? I still can’t imagine, but for the exact opposite reason….
  8. Totally agree, but then as a moderator, it helps to gather the poster’s patterns. whats kinda funny about this post is DJLL has been around forever…
  9. Channeling my inner Mike Sixel…. that’s why the Win Stat for Pitchers is stupid and we shouldn’t use it, let’s throw the baby out with the bath water
  10. Atteberry on ‘CCO described it more like he was mad than rattled. Between the errors and a couple pitches where both the hitter and the catcher were confused as to why a pitch was called the way it was.
  11. It’s really hard to stay engaged with the game thread with all the whining and moaning. When it comes down to the state of the forums… it shouldn’t be all sunshine and roses, but it has to be fun.
  12. It’s kind of a stretch to expect to consistently have a 2-3 WAR utility player coming out of your farm system every 3-6 years.
  13. Agreed with the kudos for Cody Christie. I do love me some alliteration! 4th in the AL, 8th in MLB is upper third. Not exactly “complete 180”. certainly more respect among peers than among rubes, but generally you see that phenomenon. I do believe it’s a good front office, well run organization and it’s clear the strategic vision from Falvey manifests itself in every aspect of operations. That’s the sign of great leadership. Leadership is only one (albeit important) aspect of effectiveness. They still need to prove consistency. so far 2024 is fairly consistent with 23, but YOY over their tenure has been wildly inconsistent. Achieving goals is the unclear part about their organizational effectiveness. I don’t know where their sites are set… but either they aren’t achieving them very often or the bar is set low. all in all, they’re fine and my gripe is mainly with modern baseball more than Falvey
