  1. My statement is simple - I am on Gray's side!
  2. I have had two great days of biking and paddling in the upper great lakes - then I come and read about my favorite team and the bubble is burst. I have ranted against Gallo since the signing - I won't change, but Kepler and Buxton are really big disappointments. Remember when they plus Polanco, and Berrios were the future? I hate to admit failure, but time to move on.
  3. Randy Johnson was even taller and pitcher 225 - 272 innings during many seasons.
  4. What is our record with and without Buxton? I do not know, but I do not think he has been a difference maker (in a positive way). He is not the player we signed him to be.
  5. I do not advocate for everyone, but I also do not advocate limiting everyone either.
  6. Compared to the competition, our 500 twins plane like that against the plus 500 teams is probably better than we can out for
  7. No. I always love Bob fellers admonition to just throw and throw and throw build up arm strength. It may not be scientific, but the reality is you can see pictures like Nolan Ryan, Warren Spahn and numerous others who actually prospered by throwing long and a lot.
  8. We seem to have a pattern of winning against good teams and then dropping the opportunity against bad teams. Detroit should have been where we begin to separate, now we are back to 500 and hope to leave 2 games over like we started. How do we turn this around? Ryan was my top hope, Gallo and Correa are with Ryan in the bottom WPA - Correa has to step up and stay hot for the rest of the season. Gallo (you know he is at the bottom for me all the time). Who is hot? We need some consistency.
  9. Whether it is Williams, Wallner or any other prospect, I would love to see them brought up when they are hot. Easy enough to send down when the cool, but the Twins have too many Mendoza batters and some more hits would be great.
  10. Balazovic 4.79 ERA seems to have plateaued. His shining star and my hope he would prosper are now dampened if not extinguished by last year and this one. Sabato is batting 207 in the minors, that is not praiseworthy. He too looks like a career minor leaguer. Can someone explain to be the Development List?
  11. When Kepler takes down the FO guy with his ineptitude the Glee in Gleeman will be everywhere.
  12. I don't blame gray. A starter should be allowed to work through the challenges.
  13. Time to move on - no team advances by standing still. Sano, Buxton, Polanco and Kepler were the promise of the future, now that future is no longer feasible. One by one we say good-bye. The lack of teams for Sano shows we waited too long. Kepler is two years past the buy by date. Polanco has been good, but damaged goods have to be taken off the shelf. I am even an advocate of getting good value for Buxton and moving forward.
  14. Can you tell us more about Chris Williams. What is this position and does he have good defense.? Is he going to make the next list of prospects?
  15. This is torture - I know you are just reporting the facts, but Pagan shakes our faith before he even gets on the mound. But next you will treat us to the worst outing of Jorge Lopez and a trip back to the days of Colome and Dyson ... I know why they do not pursue RP in free agency - they just can't judge them. By the way there is a pitcher in the BP in Baltimore that sure would have looked good in our BP.
  16. That is true for everyone, but in truth he is the best person to grow the sport in his home country.
  17. I would like to know more about their lineup - who is hitting or are they like the Twins there too? It seems like Christian Yelich should teach teams a lesson - don't give out big contracts based on one great year. He is down to earth and over paid, but still important to the team. Adames and Tellez are their HR threats and Winker is another one year wonder that everyone hopes will find himself. Now what would their fans write to describe us?
  18. Well who do we trade - I suggest Buxton - he is not producing what we need at DH and he is not in CF. Move one. Then Gallo - if he replaced Luis Arraez we really missed the boat and maybe even the ocean the boat was on. Lewis is also showing hit potential to produce what we hoped. Wallner should be in and Max should be in Germany promoting baseball. Pagan and Lopez are available for bullpens that are our major competitors. Grab them quick.
  19. Not every great outfielder was here long enough to accumulate WAR like Kepler. Larry Hisle and Lyman Bostock were here a short time but were a great combo. Lenny Green and Cesar Tovar were terrific, Allison is one of our greats, Jimmie Hall burned out quickly like Kepler. Oliva and Puckett are in another universe! Ted Unlaender is under rated, Dan Ford is a legend. Kenny Landreaux gave us a short but good Outfielder. Brunansky had a great and short career, he was a good player. I would not have traded Dan Gladden for Kepler. Shane Mack is another legend. Matt Lawton gave us some good years. Torrii Hunter was another exceptional player and Denard Span was too. Jacque Jones was a good player who was consistent throughout`his tenure. Shannon Stewart was not here long, but what a difference he made. Michael Cuddyer was a good player who was a consistent producer for a number of years. Jason Kubel was a short-term good producer. Willingham had one great year for us - far better than Kepler's. Aaron Hicks was traded but showed how good he could be. Max had three good years and a team that would not move on from him. But accumulated stats are not the measure of greatness. If they were Koufax and Dean would not be in the HOF. I would not trade any of the players I have listed for Max - no matter what fWAR says.
  20. I don't know how many ways to say no but I'm tired of having players paid for recovery or for the IL. We have Buxton and perhaps Correa, plus polanco is now at a stage where he's having trouble staying healthy. We paid Pineda to recover and then let him go. We're paying paddock to recover and who knows what will happen then. Now you want to pay Mahle. I feel like we're an extension of essentia hospitals.
  21. It's nice to become informed. Because I know nothing about this pitcher.
  22. Yes, the twin should fear them and every other team in the division. Unless we get our act together. Drop some of these dead weight. Batters and go with the best we can put out. Glad to have Julian but also want to have Wallner
  23. 5 Yrs 448 1812 1633 242 532 92 9 15 162 9 10 156 142 .326 .384 .421 .805 124 687 29 8 0 15 10 2023 26 MIA NL 59 243 220 26 88 15 1 1 30 1 2 19 11 .400 .449 .491 .939 159 108 10 2 0 2 5 *4/H3D Luis Arraez did not fit the Twins hitting philosophy! We need a lot of changes in our system of advanced metrics.
  24. And we play Garlick, Kepler, Larnach and now expect Gallo back - what does Wallner have to do. Please Twins learn from Arraez - hits matter.
