    Balazovic is my disappointment of the year so far. I really want him to succeed. I have not been on the Martin Band wagon and would drop him a few places until he can establish a position.

    I was struck by how many times a team splits a DH no matter the opposition. This answer is a little old, but I think still is valid. What it does not tell us is how often a team wins when it becomes listless or when the manager benches two of his hottest bats: "How often does a team win both games of a doubleheader? For the length of this study, out of 357 doubleheaders, 45% have been splits, 32% have been home sweeps, and 23% have been away sweeps.Jul 7, 2016" This was a pathetic game. we are 4 - 5 against KC and Det in the last nine games. Has anyone told the team we are in first place and they are in last? So what is our rotation now? Who starts? With this BP I do not want a BP game. But Ober, Smeltzer, Bundy, Archer...does not seem like a championship rotation. I am concerned.

    I would have chosen Smeltzer because he has come out of nowhere to give us something that no one expected. I remember the Thorpe, Dobnak, Smeltzer group when they first came up. Thorpe got many auditions until he flopped, Dobnak was signed, given security and was a good story, but in the end fell short (I think). And Smeltzer was the feel good story, but then the Twins did not even think to keep him on the 40. Now he is behind Gray and Ryan as a dependable arm. Of course Gray is the logical choice so I cannot argue against him. The four pitchers on the list are the heart of the pitching staff right now.

    I am concerned about Balazovic - I was hoping he would be pushing to get to Mpls, but his outing have not promising at all 8.82 era, 1.42 Whip. Please explain this to me. What a lineup in St Paul. Why are the three players St Paul needed riding in a taxi squad? What is that all about? Well the Mussels look really good and St Paul still won in a blow out with so many things stacked against them.

    How About Ryan Pressly - .2WAR 1 -1 2.45, 8 SV Or Liam Hendricks .5 WAR 1 - 2 3.32, 14 SV or Brusdar Graterol .2 WAR 1 - 2 3.20 Put them with Rogers and our BP could look pretty good!

    I have no doubt the college pitcher is the better choice 90% of the time. Our bodies mature at very different rates and so do our minds. I think the college pitcher has more coaching, better muscle memory and hopefully more maturity.

    I am so sad - the BP just looks like an impending disaster. The SP is a mirage. Help. Tell me the CBD was laced with THD and I am just not seeing the future correctly.

    A sad game - if it were the only one it would be no big deal, but after KC, we cannot continue to give away the games against the bottom feeders. I do not blame Miranda. I do not excuse Bundy. I do not understand the roster construction.

    Only 6 of the top 20 prospects yesterday? Are we that banged up? I really appreciate the multi-hit list. That is just as interested as who hit a HR. As usual this was a really informative report.

    Years ago I suffered a bone bruise from a car accident. It was terrible. I still remember a doctor telling me I might have been better off with a break. Don't underestimate this injury, especially since it is on the knee where flex is essential. We need Celestino back quickly.

    I enjoy these summaries. When I see Kepler avoids the IL but then doesn't play it raises a question for me. Would it be better to IL him if he has to rest a few games to keep an active player on the roster instead? Your observations about Buxton were accurate coming through last week - what are your prognostications for next week? Thank goodness, for Gordon. He jumps in when needed and is really delivering from his bench spot. Let's hope they bring up another starter if Ryan is down. No BP games, the BP is already wearing down and I do not want to see them fill a nine inning game. I worry about Duffey and his downward trend, Pagan and his tightrope walk, and just about anyone but Duran. Even Joe Smith looked human last week.

    PLEASE - ROCCO - this injury is not because you let a starter go more than 4 innings. It really wasn't. You did the right thing! Can the Twins please invest in some spongy, soft, absorbing outfield covering to project Lewis/Buxton/???? Thank you Larnach. Come back Clestino - we are starting to get an OF.

    Lewis is number 1 any way you look at it. His bat has worked in AAA and MLB this year. Kiriloff has struggled in MLB, still has a weak wrist and should still be up soon. We need bats and both of them give us real threats. I want to bring them both up, but when I look at the team Lewis and his ability in the field makes him the logical choice because whoever comes up should not go back down.

    KC 17 runs and 2 of 3 games against the Twins - They are in last place, let's be careful about crowning this team as a champion.

    I cannot find much to be happy with here. Archer has had enough time to become a 5+ starter, but maybe he just does not have it and should be a RP. Not impressed with him or the plan. I am redundant, but bring up Lewis! This is nonsense, we need his bat and energy. (I do have to say I continue to be happy with Arraez and have real hope that Larnach is for real now.)

    What am I missing. I looked at tonight's box score and at the bench and I don't see celestino. Never mind I found the answer. Since I'm currently in New York with covid myself I understand how difficult it is to avoid this plague I would consider bringing Lewis back up instead of another pitcher.

    Still not convinced that the twins are in command. They certainly look like the best team in the division, but our bullpen and the lack of run production against our lousy divisional foes gives us plenty to concern ourselves with

    Duffey has not shown anything that makes him a reliable RP this year. But that said, I understand the angst that is in the comments - we cannot keep leaving pitchers in when they do not have it and watch them fill the bases. Come on Rocco - you yank Smeltzer when he was still going well, you leave in Duffey when he obviously is not.

    I said it earlier in the year (too early according to Seth) but Rodriguez needs to be challenged. He looks like he will be a terrific player and he should be given every chance to succeed. Like others I am disappointed in Balazovic, but I need to know more before losing faith in him. By the way I think a guy names Lewis needs to be in the majors. Where do you play him?
