  1. This is real pleasure for a fan. And I hope Ryan can keep it up I want to be careful about expectations. This is a really exciting set of games and puts hope back and all of us
  2. I love the wins but we have now had four games in a row or the other team has had sloppy Fielding. I'm happy it's the other team but disappointed that baseball has emphasized hitting over Fielding to such an extent. But if we can play keystone cops on the bases and that wins the game then we better keep practicing that move.
  3. Nice report - Is Faria starting because Balazovic is IL? It seems like we have better arms for the AAA rotation. Looking at the lines for Wallner and Sabato - it bears resemblance to Miguel Sano - not good.
  4. I like the Tigers, but of course like the Twins better. It could be a very competitive series and it is time for Correa to get out of the early season funk and start being the high paid star we expect. Paddock is another question mark, let's hope he turns it around. We traded for him to give us more than one season, but right now I am anxious for one really good season or another of our young pitchers to take his spot.
  5. Let Canterino pitch his 3 innings in the majors, call up Cano and give him a chance, and get Henriquez for some tougher assignments. I am ready for more overhaul - the pen is not a place where most pitchers have long term careers with the same teams, but it can be used for building the future if we stop using fillers from other teams.
  6. I think the reality is that the twins overthought things in moving two of their three catchers.
  7. Is there a reason that Canterino is only going three innings? Are they preparing them to be a relief pitcher or is something else going on
  8. I have no idea how to truly compare and rank players. Does he the best player on the twins - that's easy of course he is. But we have a lot of great players around the league they all have their own unique qualities that make them valuable to their teams. I'm just glad we have him but would not attempt to rank him
  9. How fun. We have the Buxton we dreamed of and he's healthy. We have Arraez doing what we expect from him. Winder is looking like the pitcher we had hoped and I'm ready to put archer in the bullpen. It's fun to have the team doing what we had expected. The Central division looks pretty interesting again. The White Sox once again show why Fielding is underrated. It is such an important part of the game and too often overlooked. Of course I'm looking at the Phillies when I say that.
  10. I will take your word for this. I tend to be aggressive in my mind about promotions and demotions
  11. Sure why wait? Some players have so much talent that they bust out early and I love to see him challenged and keep growing
  12. It appears that Rodriguez is ready for a bigger challenge and an upper League
  13. Of this game demonstrated the true weakness of the White Sox. If they are the best team in our division and one of the four or five best teams in Major League baseball that is a sad situation. They threw the ball around like a T ball team I do like good defense and that doesn't make a game boring the way that three straight strikes and a walk back to the dugout does. But all I can say is bring back Ricky Henderson.
  14. When I looked at yesterday's game he was one of the few hitters to do well. I think he's about to bring that batting average up to where he will be more than acceptable
  15. Not enough appearances to come to a conclusion, but they have looked really shaky so far. Duffey seemed much better against the Sox last night.
  16. We have RP in the minors, but we do not use them. We had Moran up briefly, Cano has not been up. Why have them in the minors if we are only going to convert starters to RP? I am confused. Cano should have had a chance last year.
  17. I do not disagree with what you say, but I am not convinced that the Twins are ahead of other teams.
  18. I think it's a mixed bag. There are some who made the prospect list but stalled or went backwards. There are a lot of variables so I hope for the best.
  19. Hard to compare their careers but both are good stories.
  20. Ken Griffey was in the majors at 19. We can hope we have a quick riser
  21. I love hope. And a great looking young prospect like this is really exciting
  22. How fun to see all the optimism rising with the sunshine and warmer temps. Let's get this season going!
  23. What a delight - nice reflection - two teams spinning out of control - what a fascinating set of circumstances. I am about to go back to work and fly to Florida and then go up the coast. I hope I can stay in touch because this should be fun. They can't pitch, we can't hit - amazing. But at least we have Joe Ryan.
  24. From the Athletic's Jayson Stark - RELIEF APPEARANCES PER SEASON 2021: 16,686 2011: 13,894 2001: 12,767 As he commented - everyone knows there are too many pitching changes, but will they stop - no it is just to easy to keep picking up arms and plug and play! This makes me sad.
