  1. If we dont move on from Baldelli the team will never get back to the world series. We need a coach that's been there done that, and he has not. He keeps on the worst staff. Popkins only answer all season was the Rally Sausage, but since then there's not even a 10,000 rakes vest, prince fedora and vest or Sausage.
  2. But you missed one important fact, they had a winning coach with multiple World Series titles under his belt. If we had that right now I think we'd be #1-2 in the division.
  3. Their coach can't even take responsibility for some of his own rookie actions, unprofessional. We need a real professional manager and some better staff. Look at the Mariners, they lost 8 out of 10 and were similarly not scoring and striking out just as much. Then they hired a new coach and hitting coach, now they are on a winning record and getting hits. Soon they and other teams will pass the Twins.
  4. I think most of the fault should go back on the coaching staff for teaching him not to swing at center cut fb or anything in the zone. Just like the rest of the team right now. I'm not sure if correa and buxton would make a difference right now.
  5. Baldelli makes a LOT of questionable pitching changes, usually leading to a LOSS. Popkins must be teaching them to chase in the other batting box and let center cut fastballs go. Bad coaching all around!
  6. Ronny Henriquez hasn't given up a run in a while. I like him as a starter for future games. It's no surprise WATKINs made yet another bad send. What's new.
  7. He didn't get much support from his catcher and pitching coach. Usually a catcher goes out to talk to the pitcher (mound visit) to calm him down, especially after a HBP and 2 HR hit. Instead after he gives up so many runs Pete Maky finally goes out and Baldelli replaces him after 9 runs and game over. It's not helping the offense can't hit fast balls or anything in the zone at that.
  8. Correa should look into surgery or something so he can be ready to play full time by next season. Buxton may want to check on a Rheumatologist for his symptoms, I have AS and it's similar to RA, I also get pains and swelling in knees/joints but I didn't start getting better till I tried Biologics.
  9. They could use some new staff PERIOD. There's a lot of wasted potential being squandered by bad hitting/base/pitching staff.
  10. It's getting hard to watch Baldelli put in the wrong arms (who've been giving up lots of runs) at the wrong time. Let the starter try and get out of it first then if they get in a real jam call in a reliever.
  11. I like Ronny Henriquez as a leverage arm, and Tonkin. I thought Winder and Blewett were showing signs of good pitching but Baldelli keeps DFAing them.
  12. The Pohlands inability to reinvest in the team has got them where they're at today. 3rd place in the division and getting worse every day. Its time to either pay for decent arms and management or sell to someone who will.
  13. The owners need to either invest in the team to WIN to FILL the seats up or SELL to someone who WILL.
  14. I guess if Martin caught the ball (Buxton would have), and Julien made a clean throw home (second bad throw in as many days), then things may have gone differently. Late inning failures keep killing the team, and possibly the season.
  15. Ronny Henriquez has good stuff to become either a leverage arm or possible starter to test out. He's got a good starting pitching arsenal.
  16. Even the very best hitters go on slumps. It happens but he's gaining confidence at the plate, "seeing" the ball.
  17. Vasky is a better (more experienced) pitch caller and defender. His offense has been a plus in recent outtings compared to last year. Overall a good deal.
  18. Just another injury to a starter who has had a good year, for the most part. Now the inactivity during the trade deadline really hurts.
  19. You'd think the coach (Baldelli) would try having the hitter bunt or steal bases to manufacture runs, but he doesn't. The Twins show signs of greatness when they have all their guys on the field but when not they get blown out regularly. You cannot expect to win without your best 3 players sitting out all the time. Postseason chances %0.0001
  20. Kepler is awesome, stop hating.
  21. Best option is to trade for a bat and ball. Someone with a good swing and someone with a good ERA.
  22. They need to work with the rest of the BSN teams and start up their own broadcast network. That way they can invest in their own teams and not share profits with a 100 other teams on a bankrupt network.
  23. Unless your names Ohtani most pinch hitters aren't as good because it's the first time seeing the pitcher (sometimes very first time). So it's not uncommon to have lower than average OPS and averages.
  24. It seems likely to replace Larnach or Margot with Wallner soon. Larnach hasn't been as effective at outfield (or at bat lately) and neither has Margot (a number of missed catches and runs scored).
  25. I say deal theilbar, kepler, farmer and possibly Vasquez. Maybe package a few for decent arms. Recall Wallner to replace kepler in OF, and lee in place of farmer/Castro at 2nd.
