  1. A-rod and his minority owners including bloomberg may partner to buy it. They certainly have the money.
  2. I think Jeffers might garner more trade assets since he's got more upside. But he's a home grown player and more of a fan favorite. Vasquez makes more sense since he's got a bigger price tag and less upside.
  3. I think you give them 5yrs to get things in order, if it ain't done by then look for a replacement. Sames going on with the Minnesota Timberwolves, after having success the previous year, changes were made to "payroll" and now they are in 9-10th place when they were #1 last season. Some has to go back on the COACH.
  4. Pohlands sure know how to sell tickets gosh. All the real good players are already done got.
  5. Hopefully with new coaching staff they'll get some needed advice and help with their swings. The all or nothing approach didn't work out very well last season. Let's re-sign polo or someone else who can take over at first.
  6. Polo, France, Bell, Gallo. That's all we can realistically afford. We should have prioritized resigning Santana.
  7. Yuli Gurriel, Joey Gallo, Benentendi, Bell. Not sure if any other would be affordable. Or available.
  8. It's mostly the "all or nothing" approach at the plate that hurt the team. Instead of having a 2 strike approach, many just kept swinging for the fences. I like what the Mariners did with their offense once hiring a different hitting coach, a lot of contact baseball. Shortened swings and hitting up the middle of the field.
  9. Blake Snell would be awesome on the Twins pitching rotation.
  10. Tender all, and hopefully the turkey turns out the same! And later trade gifts like it's Christmas morning and we're getting some new gift-ed players.
  11. He's seasoned. Festa and Matthews even swr are all good, but blew most of the final games of the season. He's got the pitch mix to be effective so why not? Unless they plan to sign another starter for $15m+ then it's viable.
  12. I'd say that he stays and moves up into a starting role. Varland may move into Jaxs role next season. With the money problems I don't see any reason to trade him.
  13. His value vs, any possible trade candidates is a no brainer. Any seasoned player would have 10x-30x as much on their contract with half the talent. He just needs better coaching.
  14. A trade for Gil back plus Rizzo. With contracts that are good for years.
  15. He sounds like a good prospect. Maybe just focusing on some pitchers for the time being would be more pertinent.
  16. Draft some high picks 1st, 2nd, 3rd round as pitchers. Stop wasting picks on infielders and outfielders. If you draft quality prospects then they can be effective in the long run (or at least some). That and a switch hitting catcher.
  17. You cannot trade away the reasons why they are good, just to get some developmental players for possible future success. Unless they are top prospects and equally as valuable. I don't think any of these players are tradeable except maybe Lopez and or Buxton. But just expect less of a window to be contending.
  18. All these names will NOT be traded. I'm not sure who writes these but it's unthinkable to trade any of these impactful players. Not with how much $ they are making vs. their value.
  19. For the price(s) it's likely to be all returning. Possibly used for trades if needed. Some relief pitchers are gonna be 10x as much for equal or a little better production value.
  20. Draft some guys. Pitchers and a catcher or two. I don't like the idea of trades for any of the players mentioned. Maybe 2-3 other lesser prospects.
  21. I think investing future draft picks in starting/relief pitching will return more success. Unless you got the $$$ to aquire decent tested arms then this is the safest bet.
  22. It's not all about getting hard contact, it's about when and where to do it. Plate discipline was the Twins downfall in the second half. They got out of the same funk in the first half after they started up the Rally Sausage. But the week long break at all star time just lost them. Unfortunately never getting back the top ten offense and plate discipline they had before the break. Short memories I guess.
  23. With the budget constraints, it's definitely a option to explore. I thought maybe with the last game(s) of the season may have been a good chance to test the waters by starting him. They were already out of contention so it would have been a good test against good hitters, while not gambling any playoff chances. I think Louie Varland should be developed into Jax's current role. And Jax get another shot!
  24. They got some guys with speed, they just need some better base running coaching. It doesn't take a Witt Jr. to steal bases. Just when and where to run.
