    I have high expectations for both Festa and Zebby. I'm pretty sure both these guys can be solid mid rotation starters. Honestly, they were both rushed this year though, Zebby more so. At least Festa had a decent amount of time at AAA, but Mathews started the year in A ball. Had like a month or so at AA where he did pitch like sn ace, but then he only had 2 or 3 starts at AAA where he got knocked around. If it weren't for injuries and lack of depth, Mathews should have finished the year at St Paul. I think Festa will be our fifth starter next year with Mathews and Morris as 6 and 7 waiting in the wings. Cory Lewis and Raya both probably need another full year in the high minors.

    A lineup consisting of one or maybe two of Farmer, Martin and Vasquez is ok, but all three in one lineup? In a real important game? This lineup is really bottom of the barrel. No Buxton, no Correa, Lewis playing hurt and slumping, 3 or 4 AAA players filling in for starters, and that's just the offense. 3 rookies in a rotation is going to really stress a bullpen and put a lot of pressure on a lineup. And when both the bullpen and lineup are being held together with spit and glue, losses happen. Maybe we scrape enough wins together for the last wildcard spot. If we do, I expect an embarrassing sweep. Here's to next year :)

    It sure looks like Eeles deserves to be in our top 30 prospects list with the year he's had. If he continues to play like this we could see him with the Twins next year. I think they should decide whether he's an IF or an OF though. For outfielders we have ERod, Rosario, Keirsey, Mkusker? IF we've got Severino, Eeles, Helman. Good crop of hitters doing well in the minors. If a few of these guys can out in the majors we should have some legitimate depth, which is huge on a team like ours with so much injury potential.

    I think eventually our IF will be 1b - Lewis 2b -Lee/Julien SS - Correa/Lee 3b - Miranda Unless we sign a power hitting first baseman to put some thump in our lineup. With the financial limitations this team has, I'm guessing that doesn't happen:(

    It sucks but I don't think we'll be seeing Buxton or Correa again this year. Buxton is even more frustrating because there was talk of him not even needing an IL stint. Then, instead of sitting him just a few days, it was going to be the minimum IL stay. Now here we are a month later and he's saying he's too hurt to play. Clean MRI notwithstanding. I think we all just have to accept him and Correa are part time players who will only be able to average about half a season. I also don't see them doing any better as they age and get farther into their 30s. It wouldn't be that big of a problem because they do usually produce when they're out there, but for a team with payroll restrictions, it literally cripples us paying two players 55 million per year as only part time players. It doesn't leave enough money leftover to fill other holes. At this point I think we're just stuck riding it out and hoping for as many games as possible, because no other team is going to take on either contract with these guys:(

    Pablo pitching like a true ace. Nice to have him anchoring our rotation. If Ober can just figure out KC we'll have a real good one-two punch. Jax has got to be one of the best relievers in the game and Duran has been pitching much better lately. Our bullpen is still a mess other than the top 4. Too bad Winder just went on the IL, I thought he could have been our first reinforcement. Varland should be in the pen as well. His last 8 run outing should be his last chance. I'd bet he can pitch better and help the team more pitching one or two innings of relief rather than getting absolutely shelled trying to be a starter. Looks like we're not going to see Topa, Paddack or Funderburk this year. Hopefully management addresses the bullpen in the off-season. And actually addresses it, not doing the minor league, waiver wire, rehabbing type signings. We've all seen how that played out...

    I think it'd be rushing it a bit to debut a 21 year old who just missed half a season and has barely played half a year at high A and AA. Best case scenario would be to have him play in the AFL to make up the at bats he lost this year. Start 25 in AAA and get a call up when it looks like he's ready to produce. Usually when young guys get called up before they're ready because of injuries, it can turn out bad and hurt their confidence. Of course, if Buxton, Margot and Kepler are done for the year, we just may see him. Not sure what happened with this team, but everyone just seemingly ran out of gas and got hurt. Buck, Correa, Kepler, Margot, Lewis looks like he's playing hurt, he couldn't even run out those ground balls last night. Now Santana might have hurt his hand? If we doake the playoffs, we'll be playing a juggernaut team with almost an entire field of untested rookies. Not a good look for a contending team lol

    Good to see our high minors bats doing well. Rodriguez and Severino both look like they are knocking on the door. Hopefully sometime next year. Eeles also really looking like he wants to be in the majors. I'm hoping these guys force their way into the team with performance and aren't forced into a debut because of injuries. Jenkins is a doubles machine! I think he could possibly start at AA next year. Most likely he starts at A+ and gets a early season promotion. The key here with all of these guys is keeping them healthy and getting their playing time in. Our team seems to struggle with this...

    I've always really liked Max and he's had some real big moments like walk off wins over the years. He's been declining offensively and defensively this year though. How much of that is because of injury I'm not sure, but this is it for his Twins tenure. I hope he gets some kind of chance with another team and can keep his career going, he seems like a real legit dude and we wish him all the best. Thanks for your years of service Max!

    Margot being on the IL has several silver linings. Rocco won't be able to continually run him out there as a PH and setting up an automatic out or double play. We also don't have to watch his horrendous defense out in the OF. Dude is a bust and should never have been stuck with this long, he was a detriment to this team in almost every way. I've got to believe someone like Keirsey can provide more production with his bat and his glove .

    Yes, finally! I like the fact he can play a TRUE center field. He could also be a nice spark plug at the top of our lineup. We hardly have any guys that threaten to steal on this team, it'd be nice to see them set Keirsey loose on the base paths. I'm glad he finally got the call as he's more than earned it. I think he can really help our team defensively especially, but with the bat and his speed as well. He's also probably auditioning for the 4rth OF job next year. With a starting OF of Larnach, Buxton and Wallner, we're going to need a true CF to back up Buxton. Keirsey, Helman, E Rodriguez, Rosario and Martin should all be competing for outfield playing time. If any of these younger prospects look to be ready for major league action, I think Martin is expendable. No power and shoddy defense. I say if we can get anything for him in a trade, we go for it and give his at bats to a prospect with a higher ceiling.

    I just hope he's healthy and can play everyday during important series like the one this weekend against KC and the Big four game series against CLE which will probably determine the division winner. If Buck can play most days the rest of the way and play well, it'll be a huge boost for our lineup and defense. I've given up hope of seeing Correa again this year, unless we make the playoffs. Varland needs to go to the pen, he's had every opportunity to prove he's a starter in the bigs and hasn't done it. He could be a real good one or two innings guy in the pen though. That's still valuable, especially with the state our pen is in.

    Keirsey continues to just keep on hitting and hitting. Good thing the Twins don't need a productive outfielder at all, especially one who can man center field in the absence of Mr Glass, I mean Buxton. Good news that Headrick is back. I don't think he'll be eligible for the post season, but he's probably a better lefty option than Theilbar. Looks like Winder has had some really good outings lately, kind of surprised he hasn't been called up considering the state of our pen...

    I also think that the twins should be developing these young hitters to focus on one or two defensive positions and learn to play them well, rather than trying to have them sporadically play all over the place. They do this, then these guys get to the majors and are a defensive liability and have to learn a position at the major league level. Definitely not ideal ..

    It's pretty clear Theilbar is done for and will be gone after this season. The only reason he still has an MLB roster spot is because he is our only lefty. We definitely need to sign one, if not two lefties for our pen next year. Theilbar and Okert will be gone and Funderburk doesn't inspire any confidence.

    It's hard not to be excited about our pitchers coming up. Varland and probably Paddack are relief pitchers, they need to be in the pen where the MLB team can get the most value out of them. I think if the Twins can sign a decent starter like Kikuchi or Flaherty in the off-season to a one or two year deal, it'll give all these prospects the development time they need in order to be ready for their debuts in 2026. With one more FA starter we could have a real good rotation of Lopez, Ober, Ryan, SWR, FA Then we'd have some good depth and injury insurance waiting in AAA with Festa, Mathews, Morris and all the rest.

    Watching Pablo the last two years, he just looks like a second half pitcher. He gets by good enough in the first half of the year and then after the ASB, he kicks it into another gear and pitches like a true ace. While it'd be nice to see him at this level early on in the season, pitching at his best in September and October is way more important. He's definitely our ace. I think if we could sign someone like Kikuchi or Flaherty on a one or two year deal in the off-season, to give Zebby and Morris some time at AAA, we'd have a solid MLB rotation with Lopez, Ryan, Ober and SWR. Varland and Paddack should go to the pen.

    Zebby is one of our most intriguing arms coming up. However, he should never have had to make his debut this year. He only had a handful of starts in AA, but he did pitch well. He only got what, 3 AAA starts and he got hit around a bit. If we had legit major league depth and didn't need to rush our young guys because of injuries, Zebby should have finished the year in St Paul and then started there next year. Relying on rookies for 3/5ths of a potential playoff rotation is super risky. I think SWR and Festa have both earned a rotation spot next year. Zebby and Morris could use a bit more seasoning. If we sign a decent starter on a one or two year deal to stick in the rotation, I like our depth in AAA. Of course as we've found out the hard way, you can NEVER have too much pitching!

    I thought we'd see Keirsey when Margot went on the IL. Of course, with this teams obsession with utility players who don't play any position that well, but can technically be put all over the field, we got Helman. Now I'm just hoping Kepler goes on the IL next for his knee. They would have to finally call up Keirsey then, wouldn't they? Either way, I'm excited for all these bats coming up. The OF alone we have Jenkins, E-Rod, Rosario, Keirsey, Mccusker. I hadn't heard much about Mccusker, but looking at his stats he could be a RH OF bats with some home run potential. As long as some of these prospects pan out, we should be in a good place depth wise offensively. Meaning the tiny bit of money the team will have can be spent on fixing our mess of a bullpen and building some rotation depth.

    Utility guys are way over valued by Rocco. Sure the flexibility is nice, but really you don't need more than one guy. You end up with two or three guys who can play anywhere sure, but they end up without a true position and end up not playing any of them well. I think you're better off just getting outfielders who play the OF well and infielders who play the IF well. Martin and Margot are horrible in the OF. Julien is bad in the infield. We definitely need to shore up our poor defense if we don't want to be embarrassed in the playoffs. The stolen bases are a problem too. Whenever there are runners on the corners it's like we just concede the first runner stealing second without even a throw, just because there's a runner on third. Pretty sad... Bottom line we need Buxton and Correa back as there not only our best bats when they're playing well, but they're our best defensive players as well at premium positions. Too bad they all never play together ..

    He's a AAA injury insurance type of player. This organization really values these utility type guys who can play multiple positions. Sure, it is nice to have that versatility. The problem is, when playing that many positions, rarely do these players play any of them exceptionally well. Passable at best. I'm glad Helman got his shot finally, but when Buck gets activated this weekend I think that'll be it for him, unless Kepler goes on the IL now. I still would have rather gotten a look at Keirsey to see if his success in St Paul this year would translate to the big leagues.

    Jenkins may not be hitting tons of home runs, but he's collecting doubles like crazy. Dudes still really young so I expect some of that extra base pop will turn into home runs as he builds up and develops more power. I think he probably starts at A+ next year. Hopefully he'll finally stay healthy and put up a solid, full year of production, leaving a late season promotion to AA a possibility. Jenkins will be a lot of fun to watch for a lot of years, as long as we can somehow keep him healthy and keep him from turning into a brittle, injury probe Buxton or Lewis...

    Just takes him a while to find his groove and get a feel for what he has that day. Next year we should have a solid, if not super sexy, rotation. Lopez, Ryan and Ober. Then we have SWR and Festa at 4 and 5. Paddack and Varland to the bullpen. Then we have Zebby and Morris in AAA as depth along with hopefully at least one SP free agent signing. Someone like Flaherty or someone who can raise our rotations floor and ceiling for the next 2-3 years. At least provide injury insurance until some of our younger guys like Raya, Lewis Prelipp and Soto are ready.

    He absolutely crushed the ball when he makes contact. With that cannon of an arm and improving defense I think he's a real good option for the everyday right field job next year, even against lefty pitchers. If Wallner can just keep his strikeout numbers within reason, like under 30 percent, I think he'll be a good power threat in the middle of our lineup. If he can stay healthy all year I think a line of .250 BA with 25-30 HR is well within his ability. Wallner, Buxton and Larnach/E Rodriguez/ Keirsey or Martin/Castro looks like a legit OF on paper. I still hope they sign a true CF as Buxton insurance. Someone who can hold down the OF for another year until we're sure Rodriguez and/or Rosario are ready for everyday big league at bats.

    How about a dominant multi inning reliever that can go two or three innings. Those kind of relief pitchers are incredibly valuable.
