  1. I think it'd be a lot of fun and could really spark up the MLB team if they refigure the roster and call up Culpeper, Ben Ross, Sabato and Roden. Out with the old, in with the new. Need to see what we've got in these young guys. My guess is this won't happen until trade deadline time. They want to get as much as they can for guys like Bell, Larnach, Wallner, Clemens, Grey, Arcia etc....
  2. I say out with the old, in with the new. Trade away anyone not part of future plans and start seeing what we have in our young prospects. Culpeper, Sabato, Fedko, Roden. Rodriguez and Jenkins if they ever get healthy....
  3. I'd really like to see Sabato and Fedko get a chance. This is the year to do it. We're not winning a world series so they should be using this time to evaluate talent. It's the perfect time to give Fedko a shot before Roden, Rodriguez and Jenkins are healthy again. We need a long term first basemen and I doubt Clemens is the answer. I doubt it's Sabato too, but why not at least see what he's got? I'd say the same thing with Culpeper. Let's get the kids playing and see what we've got to work with next year.
  4. Time to start planning for another big sell off at the trade deadline. Hopefully they make smart trades, and for players close to MLB ready. Twins fans have suffered enough. We don't have the patience for a 5 year rebuild right now!
  5. I know it's really common nowadays for young pitchers to struggle with command, but Hill seems to have no idea where his pitches are going. Hopefully the coaches can find a way to reign him in. With his stuff he could be a K machine, but he needs to find a way to hit his spots. Anyone heard or read anything about Matt Canterino? Did he retire or get released?
  6. I am also curious about Canterino. Wasn't he supposed to be pitching again this year, or did he finally hang up the cleats after another injury?
  7. I say get a haul of near ready AAA talent for Ryan and Jeffers. Start trying to put together a competitive team for next year.
  8. I doubt we'll be able to extend him. If that's the case, the smart move would be to trade him at the deadline for a haul. Hopefully 2 top 100 prospects who are hopefully close to MLB ready. Maybe a solid SP prospect and a potential long term 1st baseman?
  9. I'd rather have Fedko take Outmans roster spot. A RH outfielder with pop who can also play first. Maybe he gets into a groove and forces himself into the conversation. Twins need a long term answer at first. Not sure Fedko is it, but I have to imagine he'd outperform Outman. We sent down Wallner and Lewis when they were hitting below .190 or so. Why not get rid of Outman and his .180 BA and what, 40 percent K rate?
  10. As horrible as our pen has been, with at least three or 4 RP who should be nowhere near a professional mound anymore, the Twins release a RP in Bowman who was having great success at AAA and an ERA under 2. Why on earth would they not give him a shot over some of these older retread guys?!
  11. Everyone know Royce Lewis needs to be sent down to find his swing, just like Wallner. Swap him with Arcia, should help the lineup. There are plenty of candidates we can drop from the 40 man without any fear of them being picked up on waivers.
  12. Ryan looks good and healthy. What do you think we can get for him at the deadline? Hopefully some AAA/ close to MLB talent.
  13. Hopefully he stays healthy and keeps hitting. Twins can never have too many prospects.
  14. I think SWR has only kept his rotation spot because of all the injuries in the rotation. Once Bradley and Abel are back, I imagine SWR will go on the IL for awhile. He'll get a few starts on his return to see if he can find something, if not, it'll be the pen for the rest of the year.
  15. Really excited about Quick. I still think we could use some higher end SP prospects. Anyone know what's up with Charlie Soto? Dasan Hill?
  16. Long overdue. Would have rather seen Fedko or one of our younger guys get the call but they're all hurt. I imagine when Rodriguez or Roden comes back they'll get called up. We know Outman cannot be starting games. Now they need to send Lewis down. They can call up Arcia until they think Culpeper is ready. Platooning Grey and Arcia at third for Lewis and giving Wallner's at bats to Martin, Larnach and maybe Kreidler should help the lineup a bit. At least we won't have two black hole automatic outs anymore lol
  17. If we can get Bradley and Abel back in the rotation and Festa and either SWR or Prelipp in the pen, it would go a long way towards at least a .500 season:)
  18. Good move sending Wallner down finally. Would have rather seen someone like Fedko rather than Kreidler. Next they need to send Lewis down. If they want Culpeper to get more seasoning in St Paul, they can call up Arcia.
  19. The fact that he hasn't been sent down to find his swing is baffling....
  20. Give him a shot, can't be worse than what we've been throwing out there in the mid to late innings....
  21. Is Ben Ross for real? Hopefully with Fedko being pulled that means Wallner will be getting a reset in AAA. Wallner and Lewis should be sent down for awhile if the Twins are trying to win. Outman doesn't belong on the team either.
  22. Lewis and Wallner need to be sent down to see if they can find their swing. Fedko can replace Wallner if E Rod isn't ready. A power hitting RH OF wouldn't be the worst thing to have on the roster. Keep playing Martin almost every day and throw in Fedko every now and then. As for Lewis, if Culpeper isn't ready they have Gray, Kreidler and Arcia. Not all that exciting but more productive than Lewis at this point
  23. If any team is willing to offer us anything at all for Wallner we should take it.
  24. We just need to hit it big with whoever we pick. Twins have suffered enough. We are due for a high draft pick to finally stay healthy and break out right from the start:)
