  1. How long? Only until we find someone who can do it better
  2. Blame it on the off day messing up their rythym

  3. Ryan needs his lucky turtleneck...

  4. If nothing else I've enjoyed watching his career, or at least optimistic that he was going to turn into a star. It's a shame he's not going to have any value at the trade deadline and that we actually have to pay him to go away.
  5. I remember when we considered Schoop a "placeholder" until Gordon was ready...I like his speed in the lineup and his versitility in the field. I'm good with him as our utility guy
  6. Paddocks elbow is certainly cause for concern. The worst part about the Sano injury, from a team perspective, it's that he'll be worth nothing at the trade deadline, and gone in FA with nothing in return.
  7. Hats off to Celestino. I was not a fan but he's winning me over. He belongs. And can we admit that Kepler's defence in right has been great?
  8. Pagan. I meant Pagan. Gonna give me a heart attack or an Aneurysm... ... At least it's not Colome
  9. ...a trainer. A guy that knows how to stretch them out? I mean, other than Correa, and Kiriloff's wrist, muscle strains etc are considered "preventable" injuries. Do some stretching exercises for Pete's sake. Loosen up... The rest of us get up every day with sore muscles and go do our jobs...
  10. In Buck's case it's also about the circumstance. I mean, yeah, he crashes into the wall with disregard for his body, and that commendable, even heroic when he robs the other team of runs. But then he comes back and gets beaned in the head just before playoffs, or chips his tooth eating a steak, hurts his knee sliding into second, or pulls a muscle just running 90 feet... It gets very frustrating. The team needs to be built as if he's not here, and when he is, well now we're in business!!
  11. From the looks of your Bullpen chart, Paddock better go pretty deep tomorrow. Wouldn't be a surprise if another move is made to get another fresh arm tomorrow. And no, Duran 9th was not nearly as nerve wracking as Pagans was last night!
  12. Shouldn't the Twins call ups create a chain reaction down the line? Shortstops need to move up to replace Lewis etc...
  13. MLB 2020 - pitchers who throw at Astro's players will be punished MLB 2022 - it's ok to throw at a former Astro if the player before him hits a HR. We don't think that looks fishy. In fact, if you hit him a second time, we're not even going to acknowledge that he was hit... Especially if it's by a last place team.
  14. I've been saying he's got all star ability for awhile now. What I'd really like to see is having that catcher coach in the dugout, available to coach him (and Sanchez) between innings, instead of coaching first base. I still think that would serve the team better.
  15. Considering he just tested positive the day after his last outing, maybe that last night can be excused. Once Ober and Gray are back though "somebody" needs to be dropped from the rotation. Eventually this pans out as Ryan, Gray, Ober, Winder, and maybe that fifth day is rotated between Archer, Paddock, and Bundy or a shared day. One of those three needs to take that fifth spot and be capable of giving them 6 innings. I'm hoping that's Paddock. I like watching Archer pitch but this 6 man rotation isn't doing anyone any good if he can't go 6 innings. And please, pitch Ryan every fifth day. None of this 6 day crap. If it means skipping someone else so be it.
  16. Today, spotted in Jacksonville, Florida....a Minnesota Northstar window sticker. I immediately thought of Jude Drouin, Walt McKeknie, Bill Goldsworthy etc... Sorry this is not Twins content...
  17. I can't answer your chicken or the egg question, but I can tell you chemistry is huge. I coached youth football for 10 years. During one season one of our two best players left the team halfway through the season. And they didn't lose another game the rest of that season. At the year end banquet we heard from parents how their kids were so happy once that one player left. Relieved. Addition by subtraction...
  18. A special coach. With one job. To teach Buxton how to get away from an errant pitch...
  19. I'd like to see Jax stick. Having him come out of the pen and pitch 3 innings comes in handy.
  20. Hey! We're in first place!

  21. If I'm going to buy a MLB jersey with a patch, they better be paying ME to wear it. As for the look, fortunately for me I'm pretty much immune to advertising. Save big money...
