  1. This team has zero killer instinct. I guess Buxton sometimes has high WPA at bats but this these Twins just can do nothing with runners on base. The stat from Provis before Poloncos 12th inning single: Twins are 3 for 24 with bases loaded this year. Dead last in baseball. I needed that really, so I knew what I have been witnessing and feeling is real and justified.
  2. Raw Hide. And I'm getting ready to throw bottles at this offence. Poor plate approach with RISP has been a hallmark over the past few seasons. It's like their brains melt with a guy on second or third.
  3. This years rotation feels vastly different. Adding an actual #1 and staying away from the Archers and Bundys of the world helps with that. It's the first year in recent memory the rotation isn't at lease 2/5 reclamation projects with a "who else do we have" sprinkled in as the three starter.
  4. I heard G&G is podcasting eclusively on Patreon now? Is this the case? Looking for some details.
  5. Odds Twins FO gets busted for tampering? Flavey to Giants. "Remember that pitcher we traded for that you knew had a bum arm? We got irrefutable proof. Back off Correa or else... Dun, Dun, Dun..." Falvey to Mets: "C'mon...C'mon..." No evidence. Just That feeling of disbelief in the circumstances that brought Correa back to the Twins.
  6. definitely logged in and definitely 8:06. Must be a T-Swift scenario
  7. What time on Friday do tickets go on sale?
  8. Gleeman stated the need for OF help with all the injuries. I've read O'dubell Hererra and JBJ have been DFA's. I wonder if the Twins will be looking for these kinds of pick ups for some short term help?
  9. It is one thing to look for a pitch to drive. It is another to try to crush ANY pitch. I know for a rube like me it's easier said than done, but more often than not this year I've seen our batters go up WRISP with seemingly no plan and no awareness of who is behind them in the order. Watching Urshela's knees buckle and check swing into a week groundball 1-2-3 double play with bases loaded, no out, on a 0-0 offering earlier this year just killed me.
  10. Not sure if I should be infuriated that the Twins are .500 in this stretch against bottom feeders or happy this stretch of bottom feeders is while the teams health is in disarray.
  11. The way it feels is that the Twins have one (Ryan), maybe two(Gray) starters, and the rest have been treated as middle inning releif making every game a bull pen game. So no wonder the bullpen success starts to wane. I'm all for health and build up. But if we're a quarter way in, and healthy "starters" can only make it 3-4 innings, somthing needs to change. Maybe asking a healthy starter go 6-7 innings when their pitch counts are reasonable instead of yanking him just because the lineup turned over a second time. A third time through the order for Archer has to be just as bad as a completely taxed bullpen.
  12. I know Kepler just hit a grand slam a few days ago but I still swear the Twins are the only team that can have bases juiced with no outs and not score A run. They do it all the time with less than two out. They just take terible at bats. Way to many strike outs.
  13. The Twins planned for pitching depth due to likely IL stints. I think they have gotten lucky, from and outsiders perspective, with the quality of that depth with a number of unproven arms. I think of everything in this article that may be what other teams try to mimmic but I doubt this kind of quality depth will be found across the league year in and year out.
  14. Pitching: Shouldn't Dobnyk be able to help SP when he returns from the IL? Will Maeda be back in time to see if he can make a meaningful impact down the streach?
  15. I hope when that contract ends the Twins will find something that allows 1-2 games a week on a local channel. Fox 9+ or 45. If fans are losing interest, give it to them for free! That's how you'll get kids invested. Then when they are adults they'll spend money on the greater array of products. Full season streaming, season ticket packages, merchendise, etcetera.
  16. Assuming no injuries to Urshela, how far off is Miranda? I do like Urshela as a solid defensive 3rd baseman but he's not going to be a cornerstone for us. Is Urshela going to be moved after this year? Are we looking at a rookie left side in 2023 with Miranda and Lewis?
  17. I appreciate balance but I'd rather be too dependant on the long ball and have the chance to put up multiple runs w/ one swing than needing to string together 15 hits to score one which was a hallmark of pre-Baldelli teams.
  18. These "area fan" articles are great. They caputure our anxieties perfectly even when things are going well.
  19. "Gray skies are gonna clar up, put on a happy face."
