  1. Luis Arraez has never has a batting average below .309 as a member of the Twins organization, going back to 2014.
  2. All this, plus a stable of very good prospects who unfortunately are having a somewhat lost season.
  3. You can't get more human that shedding tears after being drafted in front of all your family and friends. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8p-A5jDpHYk
  4. I love the grunt with each pitch. Falvey wins this deal, even though Graterol was my fave. Maeda is just what the doctor ordered.
  5. I am happy that this abbreviated season is taking place so that the Twins taking the option on Cruz actually bore some fruit. He really is like a hockey team captain to this club, makes everybody better.
  6. Byron Buxton is looking like he is turning the corner to the stardom we have awaited/expected.
  7. I didn't expect 10-2. With Donaldson, Hill, Bailey iffy, and no Pineda, kudos to the braintrust and the field staff. They're doing this with most guys offensively not even hot or sparking. Out-pitching Cleveland speaks volumes of the all around depth of the 2020 Twins.
  8. A good slider seems to be one of the harder pitches to barrel up for most guys.
  9. They were able to complete soccer seasons in Spain, England, Italy, etc. without any major outbreaks, and there is a LOT more close physical contact in soccer than baseball. My conclusion: MLB is proving inept and providing and enforcing a protocol that keeps players from getting/spreading COVID.
  10. I saw an article today that Rich Hill is ready to go. I had almost forgotten about him. Nice ace in the hole.
  11. For me, Target is top 5 for sure. SF, SD, PIT, BOS round out my faves, and I am lucky enough to have seen games in all of them.
  12. Lucas Sweany, 6'6" junior LHP out of the University of the Pacific, is all ours. https://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.fcgi?id=sweany000luc
  13. In case you were wondering how other teams were doing, Baseball America has a tracker. Spoiler: while the Red Sox have signed 10, the Indians and White Sox are stuck on 0. https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/2020-mlb-undrafted-free-agent-tracker-agreements-for-all-30-teams/
  14. I am bummed that these prospects aren't getting a chance to develop as normal. Wonder what the long term effect is for young ballplayers not playing ... my guess is there is no good effect. Feel for guys from the previous draft like Willie Joe Gary and Regi Grace, or Cavaco from this draft - young but very raw talent that need innings to get somewhere.
  15. The top two kind of remind me of the year the Twins went Travis Lee-Jacque Jones with their first 2 picks. The main difference, besides Lee not signing, is that the Twins were picking 2nd as opposed to 27th
  16. If I were a HS baseball player and could score a nice bonus today, I would do it. There is so much uncertainty as to the future of the minors, the draft, etc.
