    As the news broke about the Astros scheme, I was fine with MLB’s initial punishments. The comportment of the organization and the players since leads me to believe stripping them of the title is the only fit punishment.

    How hard is it to void a WS championship? From what I understand the players are immune, either through the union or some Manfred deal. But the organization?

    Which would be the perfect approach with Graterol - he's the age of a college junior starting his career in Elizabethton. Still so much time to stretch that arm out.

    Smeltzer, Dobnak, Thorpe, Chacin, plus Graterol, plus another 10-20 prospect, suddenly doesn't look so bad to me. May be a case of the best trades are those you don't make.

    Keith Law had this to say about Graterol over at the Athletic: He also pointed out that the Twins swapped 6 years of Graterol for 4 of Maeda.

    Probably the first time in sports history a Brusdar was traded for a Kenta. One thing about Maeda that stands out: he doesn't give up a lot of hits. He gave up 6.7/9 innings last season, and his career total is 7.6.

    Marwin is welcome on my Twins squad - there was a stretch mid August last season where he was damn near invincible: August 7-18. 20 for 45, saw his ops rise 50 points, 12 RBIs. I was at the August 11 game, and he was just locked in. Almost won it in the bottom of the ninth with a rope that miss being a walk-off HR by a couple feet. He is a quality ball player. I'm sure his teammates are aware of the shenanigans, and if they are okay with it, so am I.

    Factor in balance and speed, I'd put the Twins about 12.

    Hey all, I see a lot of advanced stats flashed at Twins Daily. I was a wondering which among them you all saw as a real improvement over traditional triple crown stats for pitchers or hitters?

    I really like what the Sox have done mixing old and new. Twins-White Sox is a great rivalry when they are both good, which is pretty rare, and I look forward to many years of meaningful games.

    3 of the top 67 works for me.

    One stat often overlooked with Eddie in what he does with RISP - his team leading 109 RBI give a hint (6th in the AL), but his numbers with RISP last season: .340 BA (8th in the AL), .370 OBP, .538 SLG, for a .908 OPS. Clutch. I'm really in no hurry to push him out the door.
