    Pretty much every trophy in the NHL has a name attached to it: Stanley, Ross, Hart, Richard, Selke, etc. I know nothing about Lord Stanley or Con Smythe or the others, but will be interesting to see anything similar happens there. I mean, it is about the whitest sport ever.

    I am bummed that these prospects aren't getting a chance to develop as normal. Wonder what the long term effect is for young ballplayers not playing ... my guess is there is no good effect. Feel for guys from the previous draft like Willie Joe Gary and Regi Grace, or Cavaco from this draft - young but very raw talent that need innings to get somewhere.

    The top two kind of remind me of the year the Twins went Travis Lee-Jacque Jones with their first 2 picks. The main difference, besides Lee not signing, is that the Twins were picking 2nd as opposed to 27th

    If I were a HS baseball player and could score a nice bonus today, I would do it. There is so much uncertainty as to the future of the minors, the draft, etc.

    The Tigers are winning in the name department so far with Spencer Torkelson and Dillon Dingler.

    If you expand it to include the entire ML organization, I'd rank Rocco Baldelli as the coolest. Dude goes to Phish shows after all.

    My prime beef with this whole plan, correct me if I'm wrong, was it seemed to be MLB's reaction/solution after they had egg on their faces when the news broke about how poorly many minor league baseball players were paid.

    Unfortunately the PCL would be the only real fit. The Saints are too big for the Midwest League, AA doesn't come near the midwest, and the International League stops in Indianapolis.

    As the thing continues to spread - nightmare scenario is this great lineup will get caught in limbo as games get played in empty stadia, or cancelled.

    Sorry, not gonna read 6 pages, so repetition going down. Justin is eloquent compared to most, and had all the cred you could possibly want. Bert, Kitty Kat, Hawkins and Morris have the pitcher's pov, completely different read on the game, and some of them be in the HOF, or deserve too be. Bert has been great all these years, f bombs and all. Dude has personality. I like the former Twins in the booth. Wild are a train wreck compared to the Twins, though Ryan Carter is good.
