    We should set the bar accurately so we don't miss an opportunity to improve the club. I think Falvine misjudged the market for Dozier.

    I am usually a glass half full guy.....but I think there is a realistic chance that the Sano Buxton era gets wasted. The Twins simply have poor starting pitching and virtually nothing in the farm system. Considering that they aren't going to outbid teams in free agency and they don't have a surplus to trade (other than Dozier theoretically) I don't see a path where their pitching is above average during Sano Buxton controllable years.

    Falvey stated a the beginning of this process that they liked Dozier and were setting the bar high for any trade returns. I think this mindset was a mistake and lends credence that a realistic proposal was not going to be accepted.

    This. There isn't much risk in trading Dozier because without pitching we won't win anyway. Dozier is being way overrated on these boards imo.

    What a list. Hard pass. Go get a real arm for the bullpen as the rotation now is what it is. If the young guys are pitching well the vets can get flipped.

    I just want the twins to start playing guys at positions where they can be above average fielders. And yes that means Polanco is not my shortstop.

    Dude reality check. When Harmon retired he was 5th all time on the homer list. I think you need to check the entirety of their careers.

    Will try to use language that the mods won't delete ....but to compare Brian Dozier to Harmon Killebrew might be the most....inaccurate.... things I've read on this site.

    I think most posters are vastly over rating Doziers value. Obviously we don't know what's being offered but I think keeping Dozier has very little upside for the Twins.

    This. Guys get filtered out at every level so it's important to have plenty in the pipeline. Of the 4 mentioned odds are that two end up being MLB regulars.

    I've been saying all along that they need to target elite pitching and nothing else. We can patch holes in the lineup and you can always find third starters.

    I don't buy the premise that it's understandable they haven't done anything because they are getting settled. You can study the Dozier situation for an hour and know he has to go. Hopefully they are just holding out for a better deal.

    I've been saying all along that the Twins should package prospects plus Dozier and go after Urias. Everything has a price....

    I start with Uriah and hang tough. If DE Leon is really a number 3 starter we are aiming too low. We need serious upside not a quantity of prospects

    I would go after Urias and would have no problem throwing in Kohl Stewart to get it done.

    I like the idea of having someone with an analytics background focusing solely on pitching. Certainly would be the biggest bang for the buck.

    I think the concept is great. Surprised it took so long.

    Pitching out of the pen also seemed to be the cause of his increased injury rate. The Twins need starters badly; try him there first.
