  1. He’s ok. I think his throwing and blocking ability are sub par. Who knows how heavily to weight his framing skills. He does deserve credit for the number of innings caught
  2. Falvine haven’t proven a thing in the area of pitching. Their two obvious attempts last year were Haley and Breslow. Both were flops and they compounded their error by hanging on to both far too long
  3. Or to use old stats Darvish could go 18-8 and whoever would get rolled out as a fifth starter would likely go something like 7-12. In other words the Twins win 11 more games
  4. Why does everyone assume Sano will be suspended? He’s not been charged with a crime and there is no evidence to prove his guilt. If we add it has to be a right handed outfielder who plays above average defense. GoGo might be worth it
  5. I've had the same problem ever since radishes said Josh Willingham was a better fielder than Torii Hunter.
  6. Agreed. He will be their best reliever by far. Let's go to highest and best use.
  7. This. Like most people I am enamored with his power. But, he strikes out a ridiculous amount, is walking less and doesn't have a position. Sounds like Chris Carter who got a nothing contract. Now you throw in makeup issues and that he can't stay healthy. The bust potential has grown substantially in my book.
  8. Sano punishment will be little or nothing. There is no proof and the allegation is far less than what Chapman admitted to. And before you come at me with pitchforks I am not condoning that behavior. Just stating the reality of the situation.
  9. He has the tools to be a good corner outfielder-sufficient speed and a strong arm. This is all part of the development process so I think it is premature to judge him as a fielder.
  10. Their results were due to improvement of a young core that the previous regime put together. Other than possibly Rowson they have done nothing and have screwed up a couple situations.
  11. I never thought I would say this but I am now ready to consider Sano in a trade for good starting pitching. I'm afraid he is going to end up being Chris Carter. Problem is if you are wrong on that premise the cost of the mistake is really high. But they have to add pitching to this young core and Sano is now the one I trust the least.
  12. Absolute hard pass. Falvine is overthinking this thing.
  13. This. Whether it's trades or free agency - this. Solve a problem for an extended time period or save your prospects and money.
  14. They completely botched last year's Rule 5 situation. And it appears they did it again this year. Maybe they should not bother with this. I do think hubris might be an issue here.
  15. Nothing wrong with a change up bring your best pitch. The biggest challenge for most prospects of the current era is developing a quality change up. I think Gordon ends up at second base so, yea I think he is overrated.
  16. MLB Trade rumors say Cubs are zeroing in on Darvish. Fun while it.lasted.
  17. I heard the hat is a tribute to his deceased father who wore it that way. I'm a lot more worried about our FO than Rodneys hat
  18. I was one. They completely outsmarted themselves on that one. I'm getting more comfortable by the minute to disagree with "crushing it."
  19. Agreed. They completely screwed up the Rule 5 draft last year when they were picking first. Don't bother this year.
  20. Nope Dozier. He is going into the last year of his contract. Mets have pitching and Polanco needs to play second.
  21. The Mets are trying to find a second baseman. There's your first meeting Falvine.
  22. What happens if the new coaches are no better than the old? What happens if the two prospects they got the international money never see the big leagues? Like I said, time will determine whether these moves amount to anything. There is literally no way to make this determination right now.
  23. I have no idea how successful this front office will be but they literally have done nothing that a typical front office wouldn't have done. It will all depend on whether their judgment proves to be good. Until then "crushing it" is just click bait. Not why I come to this site.
  24. I guess I'm surprised that anybody thinks the Twins system has too many good pitchers. I'll believe it when they show they should be in the big leagues.
