  1. Lack of luck…..hmmmm that was much closer to a butt kickin.
  2. Jeffers couldn’t throw out my grandmother. I mean he might not throw a runner in May. Teams like the Astros will just abuse him.
  3. If we are going to make proclamations based on SSS the last several starts don’t bode well for our club. Bundy and Archer are starting to look like the long shots they always were.
  4. I’m not sure about what should happen. Injuries will likely decide. However they should NOT keep the 6 man rotation which allows for equal starts for Ryan and Winder as Bundy and Archer. Give your best pitchers the most starts.
  5. Since I’m paying $90 month to watch BSN this is great news. I will drop ATT and save $70 month.
  6. Apparently everyone has forgotten that Lewis hasn’t played in two years and has big developmental needs at SS. He will be our SS next year and needs all the reps he can get. So no he will not be playing a different position this year for the Twins. And no Correa will not be playing for the Twins next year unless something really bad happens.
  7. Here is my highly unqualified medical opinion on Kiriloff he is going to take a swing and some scar tissue is going to pop and he will be pain free.
  8. Vallimont with another rough start. His 40 man spot is circling the drain right now.
  9. I liked that winder throws strikes, in fact all our young pitchers fill the strike zone. By doing so it gets hitters in swing mode. I really liked Larnach double: back door breaking ball on the outside corner and he crushed the other way.
  10. Ryan first for sure. I might have snuck Duran in there. His numbers are not as good but he has dominated at times.
  11. At this point he is what he is. Why are people surprised when he goes through a prolonged slump? Soon enough he is going to hit 5 homers in 5 games and people will write articles that he has finally figured it out. Then he will slump again. My guess is it’s his last season as a Twin.
  12. One other thing……Duran is looking better every time he goes out there. He was so efficient I was hoping they would give him a third inning. What a weapon to have in the pen. Now we just need two more like him….
  13. Fun game. I hope Archer can regain his command. The stuff is there but he isn’t throwing enough strikes. It’s going to catch up to him.
  14. I wish Smeltzer the best as I think he can help the Twins. That said I couldn’t care less about his opinions on the pitch clock. The game is for the fans and anything that speeds up the game and creates more action is critical to the future of the game.
  15. Vallimont can’t throw it over the plate. Never has. I would move him off the 40 man and not give it a second thought.
  16. Let’s not be naïve. He’s gone after this year unless things go horribly wrong. And there is nothing wrong with that. The Twins can’t and shouldn’t hand out a mega contract to him.
  17. My criteria would be they have to be pitching well right now and be able to throw strikes. That narrows the list considerably. Smeltzer might be the best choice as our current lefties don’t inspire confidence.
  18. This. If he wouldn’t have signed such a team friendly deal I’m convinced he would be gone. I hope he he hits his incentives and gets LOTS of the Pohlads money.
  19. I don’t care. He has to be healthy and just be Byron Buxton. The rest will take care of itself.
  20. Can’t wait for the pitch clock. Never wanted but it’s the only way the game is going to move along.
  21. The end was a good old fashioned Legion ball snowball fight. Credit Jeffers with some key blocks. They were all pretty much right at him but it is not usually a strength for him. Any of those get by him and it’s a different game.
  22. It’s not hard to figure out why this lineup is not producing. Half the spots are black holes and I have no expectation that Sano Kepler Sanchez or Jeffers will substantially improve. Larnach has hit some balls hard and is still gaining experience so he might produce. I’m really worried about Jeffers - he’s getting worse.
  23. I like Dick and I like him more now that he is not with Bert. He isn’t afraid to say nothing which is such a blessing in this day and age of talking heads. I like Smalley. He knows the game, makes his point and then shuts up.
  24. Wry good to see SWR and Lewis doing well. Two very important prospects for the Twins.
  25. Pagan is not an elite reliever but that wasn’t the expectation. I couldn’t care less about zips projections especially for relievers. So far he has been better than just about the entirety of our bullpen.
